I don’t think I could ever pick a favorite Old Mill snuff. For the longest time Puro Dominicano was my staple evening snuff but now I have switched to Perfecto it seems. These two are paramount in terms of true snuffs. Also some other remarkable snuffs IMO are; Limoncello Moulin Rouge Ecrous Brulee Solstice 2014 Ivory Toast Bananas Foster I tend to prefer plain snuff but Daniel does amazing things with his flavorings.
I think everyone should give Solstice a try. Fantastic holiday season snuff. It’s like snuffing a finely ground gingerbread cookie. Sugar, spice and everything nice!
Evangeline.
In fact, I’ve recently come to terms with no longer calling Viking Dark my go-to, favorite snuff…Evangeline takes that honor, now.
Limoncello, Ecrous Brulee, Suzette and a few others are favorites as well (and Bananas Foster is well on its way to making that list).
I just can’t believe @chefdaniel has the time to make so many awesome varieties!
Nocturne is climbing the ranks for me. Very rich…

Discovering Evangeline goes great with a pipe. Nice spoons Mark. I think I’m going to have to get me one.
Thanks a lot, @SnuffingInSeattle. I’m going to try to get a couple more spoons into the shop over the next week or so.

I’ve been using Viking Dark regularly, but then I’ll slip in a pinch of Nocturne here and there to mix it up. I would not say they are similar…but they do mix fairly well in the nose, and don’t work against each other.

My next paycheck I will be getting a few old mill snuffs. I would like some opinions on the top 3.
Perfecto, pure Virginia Toast, ivory toast. Love em all , however all the others are equally amazing. Whatever you pick you can’t go wrong from my experience.
If Pure Virginia Toast is not on your order, you are truly missing out. Other that that, you really can’t go wrong.

I only ever put in a single order, for a bag of five different snuffs. Oddly, the one I decided I liked best was the one I had the least expectations of – was it Butternut Toast? I usually don’t care much for sweet snuffs, but that one really worked. I’d definitely order again if it were available, but I can’t order more than 50 grams at a time these days (Customs regulations. I gotta stop whining about it, I know, but it hurts).
^^^^AGREED^^^^
like @Hitsuzen, I have a separate box and fridge section for Old Mill. I guess I might have some favorites ( not one ) but it doesn’t matter.
@chefdaniel creations are so consistently good that with very few exceptions, if you like one of them, you’ll likely enjoy almost all of them…at least that’s been my experience.
These days, when a new one comes out I tend to buy a tin for now and a jar for the future…
I enjoy all 13 I got.PVT,of course Butternut toast,Ivory toast,Perfecto,Spotted Dick,Banana fosters, Pumpernickel toast, Toast and jelly,Moulin Rouge,Calypso,Melbas toast,Tenpete,Ecrous “burnt nuts” :-bd I most likely will place an order for more this week I know I’m getting the new Butter Rum Toddy but what should I get??please lmk and why I appreciate your time and consideration. Also thanks Chef your truly a Icon in the snuff community.Thank you for the awesome snuffs. Peace :)>-
Olde English Toast, followed by Pure Virginia Toast. I like the straightforward simplicity of both of them. Of course, I also like almost all the OMs that I’ve tried. The best tobaccos combined with the gourmet sense of flavor and scent.
Right now my favorite Old Mills snuff is the Butternut Toast. It’s that good!! I can’t wait to try the Butter Rum Toddy. \m/
That’s a hard question, now for me: I enjoy immensely: Butternut Toast Olde English Toast (The Balkan) Moulin Rouge Winter Solstice both (but prefer the 2015 more) Sugarbush Sarsaparilla Hell… I love them ALL!!! ^:)^
Olde English Toast
So far for me it’s Banana’s Foster. I can’t get over how amazing it smells. Definitely need to get some large tins.
