Looking to make another order. Looking for advice. Favorite Old Mill snuffs? And why? Thanks
Toast & Jelly - it really smells like toast & jelly! Â (then again all his culinary themed snuffs match up well).
Calypso - it’s a unique kind of tropical fruit snuff, I detect coconut and pineapple. Â
It’s hard to stop at those two, because I like them all, but those two are standing out to me at the moment.  I’m waiting for Banana’s Foster to arrive in my mailbox, I wish I could tell you about it now. Â
Please do when it arrives, that’s def on the list. I have toast jelly and calypso, TJ is great! Calypso is too, just not an everyday for me. Love coconut and a summer vibe though
My advice: Read the menu and order anything that you find appealing. I have approx 15 of his creations and there isn’t a bad one in the bunch. Some I do like more than others, but that’s personal preference. I do find most are fairly decadent (complex + full flavored) and as such they are once a day treats.  PVT is the exception to that so far.  It’s light enough for all day use.
Nocturne, perfecto, old English toast, ivory toast, pure Virginia toast, Bananas foster, Marlin spike Ones I’m considering. Anyone tried Perfecto? Havnt heard much about it but it really interests me, as Puro Dominico is amazing.
Pure Virginia Toast (PVT) is a must-have.  But, from everything I’ve heard you can’t go wrong ordering anything off that Old Mill menu.

This is tough. OM doesn’t seem to make anything I don’t like. Currently enamored of Pure Virginia Toast, Cuba Libre, Perfecto, Take 5. Toast & Jelly is fun. Pumpernickel Toast is one of my long standing favorites. I love toasts and Daniel does them so well. It’s a safe order to take chances with. It’s true. You really can’t go wrong.
Thoughts on perfecto?
Perfecto is reminiscent of a really good cigar. A very fine grind (small pinches) toast. A little goes a long way. It’s in my OM Top 10.
@CaptShipwreck What are your tastes? I’ve tried 3/4 of his offerings (I keep a seperate box just for my OMs) and there have been very few I didn’t like. Like others have said, if it sounds good to you on the Menu, you’ll probably like it. If I knew your tastes, I could make recommendations. Otherwise I would say try all of them. I got my Bananas Foster yesterday. Gonna try it live in my video review. I can tell you already, from the tin, it smells amazing. Like banana nut bread.
Where’s this video review?
I love the Olde English Toast, as it’s like a snuff version of a quality English pipe tobacco blend.
The OM Lambic is really unique. It comes on like an SP snuff, except where you’d expect the bergamot note, there’s this raspberry scent that makes you rethink the whole SP paradigm.
Pure Virginia Toast is a must-have. Just a perfect meal for the olfactory glands.
Perfecto is a real pleasure, and like a premium cigar, may also improve with some age, so buy a couple.
Got maybe 35+ OM snuffs, including some no longer available, so it’s difficult to second-guess the palate of others. What I have found is that you can’t go wrong. Get anything, and you’ll probably love it.
>Nocturne, perfecto, old English toast, ivory toast, pure Virginia toast, Bananas foster, Marlin spike
I’ve tried everything on that list (except Bananas Foster which is brand new), and they’re all winners.Chef Daniel combines science and sensory wizardry in his snuffs, so you can always be sure you are going to experience something you’ve never encountered before, and each blend is sure to please.
@CaptShipwreck I’m gonna upload it tomorrow. Tonight I uploaded my Toque Pumpkin Pie review. My channel’s called Inna Pinch. https://youtu.be/LFF\_a7pSQAQ
Fantastic review there @Hitsuzen. It goes beyond the confines of a simple snuff review, and gives great insight into the history and progression of our modern snuff community. Very impressed, and can’t wait to hear the Old Mill review. Thank you.
The Olde English Toast is the most “masculine” snuff I’ve had thus far.  Its rich, and complex, and it took me a week or so to really “get it” and start enjoying it.  But, now I really like it.

@Nulliverse Thank you for that! The Old Mill review actually went up Saturday. Subscribe to the channel and you’ll get notifications when new videos go up.
I would have subscribed a good while ago @Hitsuzen, but don’t have an internet connection - just very limited data allowance via my phone. Funnily enough, your review prompted me to finally set up a wifi connection in my new home. I’ve always been a big fan of YouTube reviews, but the thought of high quality snuff reviews (such as yours), has been the final straw!
I’ve tried quite a bit of the Old Mill snuffs and they are all fantastic, but I will not tell you my favorite because I use it often and once it’s gone over there it’s gone.
Just kidding, it’s Kind of Blue and it rocks. Probably the best snuff I’ve ever had and I’ve gone through a large tin of it and almost through a medium tin of it… Looks like I need to make an order soon.
So, my first ever Old Mill order arrived today. Happy daze! I’ve been hitting the Toque W&H USA pretty hard today, so am gonna resist temptation, and crack some open with a fresh nose, tomorrow. Almost. I thought it rude not to fiend on the PVT sampler you see (nothing to do with my will power…) :)) I don’t currently have the repertoire required to describe such olfactory perfection… so now, will simply settle for saying, this stuff is GOOD. Edit: Initially, I snuffed this stuff with the sort of caution I would any other toast. Not so now, though… quite the contrary!
