ecigs

Well you people have convinced me. I just ordered me an eGo CE5 starter kit and some tobacco juices, since I’m a total nic fiend and a manly-man I opted for the 48mg juices.

That sounds great. 48mg! Always recomended to start on the highest strength and wean yourself down to something mild like 24mg. If you survive be interesting to know if you got a :bz “buzz”.

Well I bailed out of the vaping this afternoon with a very sore tongue. I’m going to give tomorrow a miss, then have another go on Wednesday but using it less frequently to start off with. @I_snuff_therefore___ you might be right that I ought to be on a stronger liquid and vaping less, although I might just need to give myself a softer transition to get used to it. I’ll see how I go on the rest of this week, and might try upping the strength with a new bottle on Saturday

@50ft_trad The 24mg is only a little stronger than the 18mg. Not greatly noticable so I just go for the 24 as it’s generally available and I seem to get on fine with it but sometimes feel the 18 is a bit lacking. See how it goes. There’s no pressure. I’m back to enjoying it again as my throat has cleared so I expect it was the weather. Actually as I discover more flavours I like and getting the e-cigs working well for me I’m liking vaping more and more. I think vaping is, or is becomming, something in itself, rather than always being compared with smoking.

I got back on the vaping yesterday, and had none of the tongue problems from before - although I did speak to a friend last night who uses the same kit, and he did say he had a soreness inside his lip for the first couple of days. I am very impressed with the Mirage kit, and it seems a lot more doable than the SkyCig I tried before. Battery life and ease of charging is a big plus. I am actually getting battery life of around 2.5ml - 3ml of vaping, which is excellent compared to what I’d experienced before - effectively two days on one battery. I reckon this and the snuff combined could replace the rollups fairly easily … but I ain’t wasting the 6oz of rolling baccy I have in. Once that’s all used up I might give the vape/snuff combo a concerted attempt at replacing the rollies altogether - something I’ve never really tried before

You could always try cigars! That’s what I did and still sometimes do. Have never wanted to go back roll_ups. A friend smokes rollies and gave me one the other day in the pub. Lets just say it wasn’t great but yes you might as well use it up.

Funny you should mention cigars  I have been trying a few mini cigars occasionally too. 20 mini cigars prob equate to a weeks worth of roll ups price wise, which isn’t too bad if I only do one every other day as a treat alongside the primary vape and snuff routine … Early days though. Lets see how I feel about the vaping in a couple of weeks time

Just received some whole tobacco alkaloid ejuice and really like it, got the Aromajuice Turkish Blend WTA Dosage: High 24 MG and really noticed the buzz compared to the stuff I’ve been using.

Was the juice you were using previously also 24mg @Mouse?

yes, 24mg, but the effect of the non-WTA was quite different, more of a ‘oh, the craving has diminshed’ rather than an ‘aah’.

I see, thanks for the insight. I might see if I can find one locally

@Mouse good to hear, I just order some WTA juice from them a couple of days ago and the Turkish blend was one of them

Based on my own personal experiences I do not care for E-Cigs. I am not necessarily speaking ill of them because if you want to quit smoking and it works for you then I think that is very much a positive thing. However, I personally never could enjoy the experience. But I am happy that has worked for many people in curtailing/ eliminating their dependence on Cigarettes.

Have been vaping some various tobacco’s from naturallyextractedtobacco -some rather good stuff there. I’ve been planning to try some stuff from wholecig as well. My 2 cents here: it does make a difference which hardware you use, you don’t need to spend a fortune, but imo one should get a couple of decent batts and a couple of good clearos/tanks/whatever. I’d suggest some Vision Spinners or itaste VV V3.0’s and a couple of Protank 2’s, Protank 3’s, Protank 2 Mini’s or other decent pyrex tanks. The variable voltage batteries aren’t a gimmick, some liquids won’t vaporize well until you’re running on higher than the usual 3.7 volts, for me, usually about 3.9 to 4.1V, there’s quite a difference when you’re using different coils with different resistances. Variable wattage seems to really work well for some folks, essentially the device will do some automatic fine-tuning of voltage when you attach a unit with a coil of a different resistance.

With ecigs as like everything if you pay small you get small quality, there´s an intermediate area where if you spend about 60€ with that you can get a good working chinese mod (including backup battery, 3 claromizers & 30 ml of different flavours) , not top quality but still good. From there you can go skyhigh (150€ and beyond) but get only a marginal increase in the quality. Variable Wattage is working very well for me, basically is like voltage fine tunning but you don´t have to mess with calculations, put the claromizer on, set the mod to 7.5/8 Watts and it´s ready to go!
