My ecig/vape/MOD

Have to share my experience with this. After a year or so of trying to battle my roll-up addiction using snuff and, to a lesser extent, snus, I’ve found my Holy Grail. It’s an Innoken iTaste MVP 2.0. It’s what they call a box MOD: It cost me £39.99 from a site called myepack and it has blown away the competition. It’s variable voltage and wattage so you can fine tune it and the battery lasts for 2-3 days. I used to smoke Van Nelle Zware Shag from Holland, ‘the widower’ as the Dutch call it. It’s strong shit and even the strongest snuffs couldn’t get me off them…until now! Also now I notice when I do use snuff I get a buzz from it, even the ‘normal’ snuffs like Toque Toffee that I’m now tooting… Don’t knock vaping until you’ve tried it and it harmonises perfectly with the occasional nose full of snuff

I ordered an Innokin ITaste VTR which is similar to the MVP. It should get here this week. I tried e cigs for a while but my old model just didn’t get the job done. Its been several years and I am hearing great things about the ITaste models so I thought I would give it a try. Snuff really does satisfy my nicotine appetite but the VTR should be good for some variety.

Yes the VTR is a nice bit of kit @xyoureyes, sadly a little out of my price range. I’m gonna buy a rebuildable atomiser next, want to get into coiling and wicking, that’s where the real clouds come from

I’m interested in finding a vaporizer that can handle normal tobacco. I’ve heard they exist and can take crushed pipe tobacco, cig tobacco and snuff. I have no idea where to start looking for these things, so if you guys have any pointers, I’d love to hear them.

@slartie I think your talking about a herb vaporizer not an ecig. This is one type of herb vaporizer

Maybe one of these: http://www.magic-flight.com/

Thanks guys. I’ll have a closer look at those. They just might be the ticket.

if you are after something for tobacco, i suggest something with a controllable temperature. otherwise it may not be appropriate… some things (like the mflb) are designed for other herbs.

Yeah, from doing a bit of research just now, controllable temperature seems to be vitally important. Depending on how finely ground the leaf is, you will want to adjust the temperature. Otherwise you will, as they say in South Park: “Have a bad time.”.

I came across http://www.vapefiend.co.uk/ and the “Pinnacle Pro”. Looks like a perfect match for me.

^ looks like that one was made for both herbs and ecig juices, but I don’t think I would want to use it for herbs only. The temperature control only has 5 different temperature settings so you can’t set it to any temperature you want which I believe is essential in an herb vape

Some select Amsterdam coffeeshops use the volcano: https://volcanovaporizer.com/ which is totally adjustable but expensive. I’d imagine tar build-up might be a problem though with tobacco.

But hey, if you can find a decent apparatus for me to vape my Van Nelle Zware Shag without all the shite that comes from combustion let me in on it  I have quite a stock of it and it’s redundant almost now due to vaping e-liquid and snuffing.

Yeah, I have 10 packs of Halfzware I want to fire up in a vape. I’ve asked the vapefiend site about which vape they’d recommend for tobacco. Hopefully they’ll come back with a worthwhile answer

if anyone finds a cheap one that works well for other herbs let me know, im looking haha

@Firestartarter0, try the Vapir NO2. It’s the only one I’ve tried, but it gets good reviews.

Well the Pinnacle Pro is apparently one of the best vape’s for “herbs” currently on the market without spending hundreds of dollars. I don’t care much for that, but I’m hoping it deals with tars in a way that makes it easy to clean. If you’re looking for an e-liquid atomizer, the Innokin MVP that @shezzuk1‌ mentions seems to be the way to go currently.

i cant see tar being a problem with vapour… maybe though. cheers for the recommendations. i was looking at the mflb myself, that seemed to get awesome reviews, along with the pax ploom.

More research done, and got a reply from vapefiend as well. They mentioned the DaVinci Ascent to be good for tobacco, which is the same conclusion I came to just moments earlier. Full temperature control. The pathway from leaf compartment all the way through is easy to clean. Metal screens are included and the pathways are all glass.

That DaVinci Ascent does look pretty cool if you get one let us know how well it works, I might just get one myself
