also have to add that grunt is advertised on strength which is always consistent
@MrSnuff - Thank’s for your efforts, I feel your pain. I have enjoyed the original batch and still hold you in high regard for selling so much of it to me… I intend to rule wisely with the remaining amount. Oddly enough, other than a small amount sampled from the last three batches, I have almost never been dissatisfied with Fubar Grunt. I am growing rather tired of the tattoo though, it still tends to itch, and remains almost impossible to scratch discreetly in public.
@bob I find Fubar Grunt to be very mild in the Nic department compared to other snuffs. I know it is supposed to be strong, but I have never gotten that. I found Medic even more mild.
@MrSnuff I will check the products at my end and let you know. The last consignment of Fubar Grunt was dispatched by Dholakia in August 2012 since then we have not shipped any consignment of Fubar only now as we speak we have dispatch your consignment of Fubar so kindly check and provide your valuable feedback for the same.
Well, in the interest of science, and as a general gesture of doing my part to restore order to the Universe, I am willing to supply a generous reference sample to Dholakia to help establish just what we are looking for here. The original batch is from around 2009. If it could be duplicated I am ready to purchase another Kilo. It has held up well when hermetically sealed.
Very eager to hear what the new Grunt is like.
Well, if they were able to make a reasonable facsimile to the original, I predict it would sell very well indeed.
@Whalen my dear (and disturbed) friend, I am with you 100% on the original batch of Grunt. When I ran out I got whatever batch was next and have not touched it since, I actually threw it away. If the original ever came back I would be another person who would be buying it in bulk!
Could not agree more Skell 18…
I tried the FUBAR Grunt and I thought it was okay, kind of know what everyone is when they describe the aroma as that of a snuffed out cigar. This makes me very curious to what the original batch was like considering this slip in quality, I have only started to explore fubar products within the past six months.
I must say I was also highly disappointed in this snuff. I generally dislike the smell of an old, stale, cheap cigar butt or cigarette butt and that, as all of you have said, is exactly what the new Grunt smells like. I even tried to mix it with some other Dholakias, but the Grunt permeated them all and ruined them as well.
Grunt, low man on the totem pole, lets hope they’ll learn to treat you all who choose that to a higher standard, disappointing to hear of such inconsistency, won’t make my purchase list until its cleared up
I just received my first tub of Grunt. I don’t the “ashtray” scent others have mention. I can see how some would describe it as that, however. To me, its earthy and plain. No scent of anything other than an earthy smell. Its rather nice, but not anything like above descriptions of it, with notes of coconut. If it was anything like the scent I get from Babeton Blue, then it was indeed great. Thats the only snuff I have tried thats vaguely coconut. I’ll keep on using the Grunt I have, maybe put a tonquin bean in it, or some of my newly created tonquin liquor made by soaking a bean in grain alcohol.
8 days later and now I know what everyone was talking about. Ashtray, thats exactly it. When I can get past that scent, its pretty nice snuff., Sits in nose nicely, moderate nic and burn, okat drip. I sure wish I’d tried it before they mucked it up w/ essence of old ashtray. Can’t find my last remaining tonquin bean. It’s hiding in the pre WWII Regno de Italia somewhere.
I just got a jar of the stuff on a whim without knowing much about it other than it’s meant to be strong. One sniff reminded me of the manky old cigar bucket I keep at the end of the garden with all my cigar ends it. I don’t even have the stomach to even try it the smell alone is flexing my gag reflex.
