6 Photo Snuff

6 photos? I don’t know if thats enough for me. I don’t usually go with less than 10 photos.

I am waiting for Dave at Mr. Snuff to work his way up, until he gets to 41 Photo, so that I can try their White Elephant snuff. Then, I should have enough money saved up for such an expensive snuff, by then.

I’m glad some of you’ll be ordering the 6 photo to give it a shot. Curious to see if it’s worth anything.

Looking forward to hearing peoples thoughts on these snuffs as I am too financially challenged to try any at the moment.

Just wanted to say, I have the 6 Photo Snuffs now, thanks MrSnuff, and I think they are really good. I got one of each.

Am I the only one that got these and was interested in them? MrSnuff got these and I am hearing no mention of them. Well, I think they are really good. Similar, but different than the 5 Photos. They are unique. They could do with better plastic containers, but they have that old world Indian charm, something I think Dholakia lost when they “westernized” their labels. But, the 6 Photo Snuff are really good. Gonna have some Special now.

I am waiting for my package to arrive.

I am waiting for my money to arrive. Happens every two weeks for about 2 hrs.

I am waiting for detailed descriptions.

Still waiting on mine to arrive, hope it comes soon.

Well, as I have said already, these 6 Photo Snuffs are really great. I think one thing that makes then different, is they have an ingrediant list on the cans, and one of the ingrediants is lime water, and I think I can scent that in them, sorta citrissy, that I don’t think I get with the 5 Photos. The Kailesh and Super Kailesh are similar in grind and scent to Himalaya and Super Himalaya, as well as the Special, compared with the 5 Photo, but they are different in a way, and I can’t say one is better than the other. The Super Chetak almost reminded me of Sparrow Cool, but no, it has that lime scent as well, but the grind is very fine about like the Sparrow. I think the Anarkali is sorta like the Raja. My only negative is the metal cans, though they looks nice and decorative, the paint comes off them some. The Anarkali does have a plastic tub. But the snuff is good quality in my view.

Tom, I think the lime water is made from quicklime and it is used to change the PH.

@Nachman, do you think quicklime is better to use than bicarb of soda? I’ve got some of my own Rustica fermenting at present and was thinking of adding some bicarbs to bring on the nic hit a bit. What kind of quicklime should I use?

No, I think the bicarb is easier on the nose and we snuffers have to protect our most important asset. they just put a very little quicklime in water. Too much quicklime would burn like a mother and could blister your nose. They use straight quicklime to dispose of bodies quickly. It eats them up. Dangerous stuff if not used expertly.

I am also waiting on a package containing, among other items, small packets of 6 Photo Kailash, Super Kailash, and Special. I ordered on 15 December, so I expect it should arrive before too long. I’m looking forward to sampling them.

PipenSnusnSnuff I wish you good luck because I’ve been waiting on my Mr.Snuff order containing each of the 6 photo snuffs and other snuffs I ordered. I’ve been waiting on them to arrive now for 29 days and counting. It was a rather large order that contains 638g worth of tobacco not counting shipping and commercial packaging from David of Mr. Snuff. I placed the order on Wed, Dec 8, 2010 at 12:30 AM Eastern Standard Time (EST) and it was finally processed and shipped out to me on Tue, Dec 14, 2010 at 1:11 PM Greenwich Mean Time (GMT). I can understand if there was snow problems but 6 days to process an order! To me that is very frustrating and rather poor customer service. Then after placing my order I find out about this 500g package Bullcrap. I have a sick feeling that I’ll be lucky to receive this package before Valentines day any sooner than that would be a miracle! Thankfully I placed an order with Roderick of Toque about 15 minutes after my order with Mr. Snuff. Thank god for Roderick and Toque Snuffs who provides some of the best snuffs, excellent customer service, fast reliable shipping, and provides helpful information for all of us snuffers everywhere. I received my Toque order Dec. 27th and am very happy with all of the snuffs I purchased from Roderick. Best of luck, Steve

Got my order today. So far I’ve only tried the Kailash out of the three flavors of 6 Photo snuff I ordered. Very nice. It’s dark and moist like 5 Photo Himalaya, but a bit more floral. I get definite hints of champa and patchouli (mostly champa), along with a light, refreshing touch of menthol and eucalyptus. A generous dose of nicotine, too. The best Indian snuff I’ve tried so far. I will update this with my impressions of the other two soon.

Some first impressions of the other two 6 Photo flavors I received today: Super Kailash – golden brown and moist. Very floral with a pronounced burn. Champa is once again the predominant note, but this time I think I detect lotus and rose in the background. There are very likely several other floral ingredients as well, and a light touch of menthol. Good for those that like complex florals or incense-like fragrances, but probably won’t appeal to those who don’t. Special – Musk!!! That’s definitely the major ingredient. Given that musk deer are endangered, I sincerely hope it’s a synthetic. Coal-black and moist, again with a hint of menthol, with champa and a few other florals in the background. Easy to take and quite enjoyable. Of the three, the regular Kailash is definitely my favorite, although I like the Special very much, too.

Yes, I think these are great snuffs, on par with the 5 Photos. These are my favorite kind of snuffs, just the right grind and moisture to me, fragrant like they are, and a just right amount of menthol.

I’ve only tried the 5 Photo Himalaya so far, but I like 6 Photo Kailash better.
