Now, I’ve been fortunate and thoroughly enjoyed every Dholakia product I’ve received (White, Sparrow, Swiss Chocolate, and the FUBARs). Sadly, I feel like 6 Photo Kailash has scared me away from trying other 6 Photo blends. I like the perfumed scent, but I think it may just be the menthol throwing me off. I was hoping someone with more expertise on indian snuff would be so kind as to give me a breakdown of which snuffs are mentholated and which are not?? (Dholakia and 6 Photo, specifically)
As far as I know I think all of 6 photo is mentholated in one way or another.
Maybe not the natural. Didn’t notice any anyways.
That’s true. I missed 6 photo natural which is surprising because I use it often and really enjoy it
the cheeta is not mentholated.

I think Cheeta might have a smidgen of menthol in it but its such a low amount its practically unnoticeable
Super Chetak would another 6P without menthol or camphor. Think they have all been mentioned.
super chetak has lite menthol.
I always thought of Super Chetak as a non menthol but after reading your post bob I looked at the tin and sure enough menthol is listed. Now I can see it but even now some of the Indian snuffs I find it hard to place a lot of the scents. Still a great snuff as are all the 6 Photo line.
Not a big fan of mentholated snuff. I was looking into buying some Photo. Glad I read this thread.
@shawn622 I recommend the cheeta which doesn’t have menthol is super strong. Yeah it’s fine and hard to snuff but it’s great. I don’t sniff it I just push it into my nostril. Also try the tradional dholakia they don’t have menthol. LAstily the menthol is light in most of them it tends to more bring out the other scents then really stand out.
I like the Indians spin on menthol. It never clogs me up like the english or german menthols do.
@basement_shaman I think I have to agree. It is all about balance, and most all of theirs are balanced in this regard, though they can be over the top in some of the other ‘perfumes/scents’.
Someone said the 6 Photo medicateds have camphor. I’m wondering how much- too much could be a deal breaker.
