- toque original 2) viking dark 3) any medicated. I don’t collect scents, I feed a habit that keeps me off the smokes, the above list is all I need to the tune of 8-10g daily.
The only snuff I’d consider “essential” is USA W&H. I have no less than 100g on hand at any time. I carry it with me all day, every day. That being said, there are a few others that I really enjoy. White Elephant (can’t find my tin ), GH Kendal Brown are among my favorites. In the rare instance that I crave a menthol, L260 and McChrystals English Menthol satisfy the itch. TL;DR USA W&H GH Kendal Brown White Elephant L260 McChrystals English Menthol
A good toast, a good fruit, White Elephant, 6P Kailash, and something dark and tobaccoey.

I,be not come across many snuffs but I do enjoy 1. Bruton scotch snuff 2 dholakia herbal snuff 3. I like Wilson and sparrows energy snuff 4. Another American snuff garret scotch And5. Garret sweet
In no particular order OM PVT OM Kind of blue OM sasparilla OM javelin Toque Berwick Brown. When I first started, I jumped into Old Mill snuffs and traded/bought a lot of Chefs stuff. Now I’m trying other companies.
I think I’d be content to have unlimited access of the following 5 snuffs:
Gawith Hoggarth Sandalwood
RR Mills Maccoboy
Starr Scotch Snuff
Toque Lime Toast
Tranter/Wilson Toast #21
It’d be tough not to have a menthol, though it’s best for my nose if I keep to the plainer snuffs.
I’m going to rework my list, purely to keep it to currently available snuffs. It’s an evil thing to call a snuff “essential” if you can’t get hold of it. 1) Toque Berwick Brown 2) SG SP Scotch 3) McCrystals Mild Lemon 4) Wilsons Tom Buck (or any other SP of choice) 5) Viking Dark
6P Super Kailash
DS or NB Madras or the like
6P Special or Motia
41P Himtaj Golden
Dholakia Kamal or Ganga
If I had to pick only five from 90+ varieties I have tried until now I would probably want 5 different types:
- SG Black Rappee
- F&T HDT
- JH Wilson SP No.1
- SWS Mull of Oa
- 6P Kailash
After learning that the Gawiths have changed their production, and now just scent flour they buy from elsewhere, I’m going to scratch them from my list for now. They’ll need to re-earn a spot in my top five, as they are now effectively new products as yet unsampled by me. So, a redrafted list … 1) Toque Berwick Brown 2) WoS Best Dark 3) F&T Princes 4) McChrystals Sicillian Burst (formally Mild Lemon) 5) Aw crap, now I’m struggling … Candidates for the last slot include any WoS SP, Grand Cairo, & Rows, F&T Santa Domingo, Old Paris, & JR Justice, Toque Toffee, Spanish Gem, Pomegranate and Blueberry, Dr Rumneys Brown … :-t I give up :-S
After 5-6 years of snuffing my list is 1. 6P Kailash 2. 6P Kailash 3. 6P Kailash 4. 6P Anarkali 5. F&T HDT I tried a lot of other snuffs, but nowadays I take only these three.
SWS St James Parish blend F&T Bordeaux GH Kendal Brown SWS Lundy foot F&T HDT I like many others but I always return to these
