Got my first order- a 6 for 5 special from Toque. Basically a week from keyboard to mailbox. I cant say how thrilled I am! Wife got to the package mins before me and had a scowl- as usual- but who cares. I took my stash and raced down to the garage and took in Pomegranate for starters. First snuff in 34 yrs! That tingle, wow. Kudos to Toque for the quick ship. Thank you! No longer in the dugout I am on the field.

This Silver Dollar is tasty, but soooooo damn finely ground I find it unpleasant.
The Toque, on the other hand, is fantastic. I haven’t found one I don’t like yet.

@TidalWave, are all Silver Dollars the same moisture-wise? Are they medium moist, or do you find them on the dry side? I tried only Original and Licorice, bought from a reseller, bone-dry.
No, the silver dollars are very dry and dusty…only take a pinch in a pinch personally.

Not sure I buy them at tobacco shops in the states which might of had them sitting around for a while.

I have tried SD cinnamon and it was moist and fluffy like a schmazler(as a gift from snuffstore.de back then)
and the other one is SD scotch direct from Toque,very dry(as it supposed to be) I assume.

Yes, directly from Toque.
The Toque is awesome. I just sent all of the Silver Dollar to a friend, they are far too finely ground for me to be pleasant.

Moist Silver Dollar is a wonderful snuff, in my wife’s and my opinions. But it does dry out rapidly outside a humid environment. My first snuff was Silver Dollar while in the Smokeys (where it’s very humid - that’s the smokeyness) and it was fluffy and delightful all week. A few hours in the airport and the texture was starting to change. By the end of the flight there was no more tapping the snuff out of the tin - now it was so dry it just fell out of the hole with a little tilt of the tin. There are plenty of ways to rehydrate snuff explained on the board - I suggest trying those with SD before deciding if you like it

From what I’m hearing, this new Africa will be right up my alley. Also looking forward to the snus. The snus I have available locally is pretty weak and always close to or exceeding the shelf life. The SWS, well that’s just for making life worth living
