just placed an order for some toque bespoke. Tell you all about it when I get it. I am pretty excited about it. In fact I can’t wait to tell you guys that this is the reason you should never say someone should make this type of snuff and instead say I should order this bespoke.

@ar47 (love your handle!) and @omgroma yes, if I find something I know I like at a decent price, I’ll stock up. The NC Madras is mostly for use as a base for making medicated and scented snuff, the others are just darned good snuffs (IMHO). I can’t make my own for $40 a kilo.

@ar47 just two custom blends. A fake rose attar (rose and sandalwood) but with a toast grind cause I like that a lot and Toque is better at making snuff then me. Then a Jasmine Sambac (it’s more musky and rich) on a dark base, cause I know that’s going to be a strangely great combo. Yeah if you ask Roderick he can tell you how much it will cost and the details. It’s something every snuffer should try at some time.

McChrystal’s …Wee Dram (my new fave!) , JIP, Fine Keg, and Sturco. I had Smoker’s Blend but it went through the laundry. I must say McChrystal’s went far beyond customer satisfaction. This order was lost in the mail not once, but twice! The first loss was got mixed up in customs and was sent back to McChrystal’s warehouse which they gladly re-sent the order. The second time, it simply did not make it to my address. I notified them & said I will just call it a loss, no worries. Yet they insisted on sending me an entirely new shipment of the order. This arrived quite timely too. Thank you Mark of McChrystal’s for perseverance and superb customer assistance… Also, Original & Genuine is a top notch McChrystal’s snuff blend. Cheers!

I know what i like pretty much and stick to them…i don’t try many new snuffs because nothing looks too appealing, not being much into fancy smells and complex flavors except for the Magic moments which is a gift straight from god himself.
This is a list of my favorites, the only one missing is some Navy plain but i still have
several little barrels of that. I’m mostly excited about the bullets. I just found a new love for the bullets, so convenient for driving and quick and easy. I tend to overdo it, sniffing every 10-15 seconds like i’m smoking, and almost as enjoyable as when i smoked. Love it. |

Just got my order in on Monday. 2x 25g tins of ambrosia. A tin of Berwick brown and raspberry. Found out a cool mixture too. I dunno if they have thrills gum in the US but in Canada it’s known as the soap gum. If you mix Berwick brown and quit from toque you get thrills gum flavour.

@Sammyd13 it was made sometime after 1966 as that’s when the American Snuff Co. Changed their name to Conwood Co. as indicated by the logo in the middle of the label and detailed in the provided link. finally! Here are my initial (half-cocked) reactions so far!
LowenPrise- full on eucalyptus. not much else, easy sniff. 3/5
Gawith Original- eucalyptus heavy, apricot is medium faint and in the back but pleasant and also lasts a bit. Cooling is nice but balance is the cost of it. 4/5
Note on freshness: Toque, Viking, McC OG, and Tom Buck reek of super-dense ammonia and new tires.
These tins are really too fresh to judge fairly but a few cursory sniffs have me curious about the Gem, Lime T., and Tom Buck. Viking Blonde not so much.
As for the OG it’s just nice to have a solid menthol on hand.
Didn’t even bother with the rest of the Toque as I soon had a nose full of kailash (4/5) to deal with. It’s nice but its potency makes doing any other snuff pretty pointless unless you rinse your sinuses.
Looks like Motia took one for the team in transit. Otherwise clear and swift (11 calendar days to CONUS) delivery from Toque and MrSnuff. Small sacrifice to pay, thanks little buddy.
Dholakia Madras Toast didn’t thrill me at all but I’ll check back later. 2/5

edit: Spanish Gem in bullet- cognac. musty oak. perplexing. drip is chewing an unlit cigarillo. good nic, quick-ish fade. took a few tries but if you stick with it you will be rewarded. 5/5

Just ordered a crapton of Poschl and a little Toque.
In other news, having just bought a house that I am in the process of unpacking, this morning I discovered in a box with some other things a glass jar of what I’m pretty sure is from the first batch of Abraxas, nearly full. Imagine my surprise.

just got my bespoke Toque snuffs. Oh god are they good.The Jasmine is so damn good. I really suggest someone does one of those group buys with anyone else that likes Jasmine, cause I am not sharing any of my stash of it! The snuff is literally precisely what I imagined it to be when I gave Roderick my clumsy amateurish description of what I wanted.

Keep the Carlsbader. It’s easily one of the top ones that I ordered recently. It may fill that coffee spot, although it would be a mocha-ish scent. Very nice.
