Any new word on the Tomato Leaf Snuff?
I still have 3 bowls of the stuff drying out here. I hope to grind it within the next few days.
Hey I donāt wanna put a dampener on the tomato project lol but I figure I should warn you that nearly all solanaceae plants (with rare exceptions such as, luckily, Nicotiana tabacum ) contain tropane alkaloids which cause delerium and all sorts of unpleasant side effects (ultimately death) if you go over the top (solanine is another problem). I mean there are people out there (not many - most stick to safer psychoactives) who get off on hallucinating after smoking/eating deadly nightshade, datura and no doubt tomato foliage ⦠Its going to be a little more intense than your average nic rush from snuff though hehe. Though saying that im not sure what effect fermentation or curing will have on such molecules; possibly destroy them? But if the pH2 of stomach acid doesnt destroy the toxins iām not fermentation will⦠Im sure many such toxins have been bred to lower levels in tobacco plants too, but not with tomatos as no one ingests the foliage, only the fruit.
If this is gonna be dried and ground and in the nose, Iād think it would not have the same effects, or negatives one may have if eaten.
Actually, tom, it could make them worse. For an easy example, how often do you here of people eating cocaine? You need to eat much more of it to produce the same effects as a tiny amount up the nose. Some compounds are better absorbed through the nose. Hell, even Erowid, a website that is far in the pro-drug camp, warns people to stay away from nightshade and anything related to it. Most people who have noticed effects from these plants have had a very bad time, and in many cases itās pretty easy to die. Not trying to discourage anyone, but proceed with caution.
I tried dadtura once, its called jimson weed here and it grows everywhere. I would talk to people turn around and they would just be magically gone! I would think I dropped my cigarettes and look for them only to realize I never smoked in the first place. its fucked up, look to see if your pupils dialate when you take it, you can only see stuff from 2+feet away - everything else is like fog.

OK, now I am curious about this jimson weedā¦
OK people, step away from the Jimson weed before someone gets hurt. Remember, itās all fun and games until someone loses a bollock!
Datura (Jimson Weed) is a very, very bad idea. The alkaloids present throughout the plant interfere with the neurotransmitter acetylcholine, causing full blown *delerium*. At least with bud & mushrooms youāre still in control of your mind and body. However⦠reading about peopleās experiences is always entertaining http://www.erowid.org/experiences/subs/exp\_Datura.shtml
yeah i agree. jimson weed = no fun its like having a bad dream and you cant wakeup becasue you arent asleep. gene simmons stalked me with abaseball bat for 2 hours. then i sat on my recliner, and out fo the corner of my eye i saw a rattlesnake slither underneath it. i was mortified event hough i knew it wasnt real, (but what if it was real!!) and couldnt put my feet down. i went into my room becasue my dad had some company over, so i tried to goto sleep. i felt two or the bugs (we had scorpions int hat house) crawl up my legs under my pants, and i totally freaked and started running leaving a trail of clothes through the living room and all the wat to the laundry room where i found myself copletely nude fromt he waste down. apparently i stripped down to my skin infornt of compnay! omfg embarassing jsut thinking about it. so in short, even i, (an experianced psychonaut) coudnt keep ym shit together. it isnt a psychedlic, it is a deleriant. not if you want to nduce delerium to experiance what an extremely mentally ill person deals with allt he time, by all emans eat 5 or six seed pods, if you enjoy sanity, or at the most CONTROLLED altered sanity, stay away from this plant! and yes, it is still making me a dyslexic typist.
Yeah, jimson weed can be nasty stuff, however if you really feel the need to try some, I would recommend taking only a small dose and cutting it with some sort of euphoric such as lionās ear (Leonotis Leonurus) or divinerās sage (Salvia Divinorum).
Well, if it does all that, Iād suspect it must be illegal, and hard to get?
ok not to hijack tis thread frther, but salvia divinorum i wouldnt say falls into the euphoric catagory. sure that cna be an effect, but when misused it can give even more frightening effects that jimson weed. i would say that salvia d. is an extremely powerful plant ally, but one that demands respect. i ahve had mroe than one freind try to āget offā with it, and endup in a mental hell. however the same freinds when they prepared themselves mentally and physically for a meaningful spiritual exploratory type experiance, where rewarded with incredibly meaningful revelations and emotions. psychedleics of this caliber are to be used with care and most of all with Respect. although lions ear is good plan, and perhaps with the proper preperation, Sally D. could be used with success. seeing as minus mescaline, Datura Strammonium has most of the alkaloids of peyote. in essence you would be replacing the mescaline with Salvinorin A. could work, but i dont feel that i have anythign to gain from further experimentation with deleriants
@tom502 neither infact. it grows wild almsot everywhere, is a popular decoration or landscaping centerpeice ebcasue of the showy large trumpet shaped flowers. Belladonna has many of the same properties and i believe it is even more common.
Oh my stars. You folks are a hoot no doubt. Anecdotal story A bit over 30 years ago there was a dryspell in town. No weed. Anywhere. Hard Times! Big Jim, well over 6ft and 250lbs., couldnāt handle it. Smoked and chewed the Jimson for a couple of days. I saw him a few months ago walking along the side of the road. Looks just the same as he did after his Jimson experience. Still wears the protective helmet he was given at the psych ward, still has the same odd hunched over hobble. Skinny as a rail but he does have a permanent smileā¦
@OTD ā No foolin? wowzers!
No fooling Wolfwood. As I prefaced the post, twas an anecdotal comment to go along with the direction the thread appeared to be taking⦠wowzers
well more support of my position that nothing good can come of this substance. IMHO anyway.
I read a few sites on it, one said, people who do it once, donāt do it again.
