A tin of 10 gr is about €2,75 here in the Netherlands, and a packet of Cigarettes is €5,- now. So snuff is much more economic in use.
Yeah they went down in california I think it depends on the store if you only sell like 20 cans a week you have to charge more I just bought skoal xtra wg lc for under 3 bucks after paying 5 bucks. It’s always shocked me how much variance there is in prices which could be taxes unpaid or something but I’ve seen pall malls selling at 3.55 and some at 5.00+ which doesn’t matter to me since I don’t smoke cigs anymore. I don’t know what U.S. smokeless is doing they introduce two wintergreen brands cope and skoal xtra removed the made on dates on their copenhagen cans raised the prices and now they’re introducing like 20 brands (check the U.S. smokeless sites ingredients, not sure how many are test products though). I’m also shocked people still pay for cigarettes seriously people will cough up 5-10 bucks for a pack of some obscure brand like merit or virginia slims when they can make a carton w/rolling tobacco and tubes for that much.

Im fine with paying this much for dip since a can lasts me a week and I dont have to spend time ordering and waiting for it. I have friends who buy their dip from northerner then sell them for $10 and they make wicked profit.
I think packaging cost would be my guess.
