I am a fantasy geek. I love to read sword and sorcery tales, Fafhrd and The Grey Mouser being a favorite series of mine. I also have a respectable collection of Dungeons and Dragon rule books and supplements as well as boxes and boxes of Magic the Gathering cards. It’s funny though, when you meet me I don’t come across as a nerd at all and I tend to scare people just by walking into the local game shop lol.

Star Wars. I have whole wardrobe where I keep all my Star Wars stuff, but I have sold comics recently. Now I’m collecting Star Wars books. I have around 150 - almost all that have been released in Poland. Another obsession is collecting old documents and antiques related to my city history. Unfortunatelly, antiques are quite expensive, so most of my collections are documents. But I have some original coins minted by the Mint in Bydgoszcz in XVI-XVII century.
I was a full time pipe maker a few years ago, but due to a back injury I had to stop for a while. Now, I do take I take the occasional commission or make pipes when I get the urge to be creative. I also occasionally make prototypes for several local inventors or take other machining projects I am interested in doing. I have made a few snuff boxes for myself… I plan on doing a few more.
Have to say I am enjoying this thread. Pleased everyone joined in. I have a new obsession or maybe compulsive disorder. Getting as much use form my solar panels as possible or getting used to them in the first year especially with winter coming and my electricity/heating bills about to rocket. Looking at all sorts of “intelligent” controllers at present but I think my brain has to be the intelligent? controller for now. Was thinking of buying wireless remote plug sockets so I could sit here in the control tower (small bedroom office) and turn things on and off around the house depending on the sun power output that my OWL meter is showing.

Yeah that’d be Amanita muscaria, never tried it myself, didn’t sound very pleasant from what I read. I used to be into the whole Psilocybe spp. thing but with my family history I was playing with fire and got burned pretty bad. I’d love to get back into it with edibles though, I love me some portobellos and shiitakes.
Don’t try the Amanita… one of the worst days of my life. I DID used to use Psilocybe cubensis for my depression, PTSD and migraines. I believe it cured me.
Had a brief obsession with sexy black women. Before that it was Rachel Starr. Now it’s Kelly Devine. I WAS obsessed with serial killers for a while. I have a few “collectables” such as drawings, etc. I’ve been pen pals with Ted Kaczyski for a number of years. I feel I owe it to him to say that he is probably one of the most sane individuals I have ever “talked” to; no joke. I don’t think I’ve ever had any true obsessions except for when I was working on my dissertation. Most of my friends were pretty sure that I had lost it, lol.
I have an obsession with fly fishing. I have been called a trout bum and consider it high praise indeed
