Mycology, because everyone loves a fungi :-B

“I collect mold, spores and fungas.” Seriously though, i have been gardening like mad this year. Started some apple and pear trees over winter, not sure if they will go out this summer or next. I have flats of cherry tomatoe and hot peppers for the garden as well.

@PotPoe if you are starting them from seed they may take 5 or 6 years to show fruit. If you are starting from saplings it will probably be the second year from now that you get fruit and the first year’s fruit will be few. After that they can really take off. My one surviving peach tree of two produced a crazy amount of peaches last summer, before that I had to wrestle with the squirrels just for a bite of one, they were so few. Fruit trees are a fair amount of work to maintain and they seem to struggle to get established. I’ve lost the one peach a pear and several figs in my gardening career. I’ve also planted countless seeds that never sprouted. I’ve got four citrus trees in pots (they come in for the winter) and they get a share of trouble too, but also get more attention so they do well. I had 22 limes all at once one year on one tree!

No kidding me too. Mushrooms are fascinating. The fruit of some species grow so quickly I swear if you felt like sitting down and staring at them for four or five hours you could watch them grow before your eyes.

I tried a slice of one of those Red ones with the White spots (forgot the name) but I suddenly felt as though someone had grabbed me by the throat and I felt a bit of panic about how far the effect was going to go, so I graabed around for something to drink quickly and all I had was a beer but luckily that worked. Didn’t try anymore after that. We should warn people that fungi can be killers as in eat the wrong one and feel nothing until a few days later when you suddenly die after all your organs fail. Thats a pretty nasty killer for such an innocent looking thing.

Yeah that’d be Amanita muscaria, never tried it myself, didn’t sound very pleasant from what I read. I used to be into the whole Psilocybe spp. thing but with my family history I was playing with fire and got burned pretty bad. I’d love to get back into it with edibles though, I love me some portobellos and shiitakes.

amanitas arent psylocybe. not particularly enjoyable, though i guess compared to lucy and salvia (if they go right) none of the mushrooms are. dont even get me started on LSA stuff…

I know haha. Though for me personally when I was into that I always vastly preferred the cubensis; I loved the confusion and I especially loved how the comeup felt like a nice cannabis buzz setting in, whereas lucy made me feel like a mental patient for the first hour or two.

Where I live you can occasionally find Psilocybe caerulipes, they fruit in early spring. Someone showed me a patch years ago and I still find them while hiking, though I just leave them alone.

I work and pay my bills I live I kill and seek some thrills. I use to do a lot of writing of songs that rhyme, it was a way to relieve pressures of the mind. I was crazy half of the time ,this was no crime. Unless it was because of a line, and then I would drink till I was blind and couldn’t think of the next rhyming line. My song’s are not easy to sing, I wonder about the joy they may bring, sometimes they are too long, that is because I like to add a moral to the editorial. It must make an impact on the subject I attack. I try to include all the facts although I allude to the max. Hence it must make sense, express all the stress built into distress. They are mostly different from the rest. I was trying my best. I was searching for success.
