My desktop rotation. Battery getting low, so no photo of the big box yet.
My advice is to refrigerate at the normal setting you have for food storage. Only decant enough for your requirement that day. There should not be undue condensation and letting it rise to room temperature in the snuff box or whatever you use should be sufficient.
For the record, I live in the heart of Burley Country USA. Bethpage, Middle Tennessee 5 miles from the Kentucky border. All my neighbors are tobacco farmers. I am consulting them to ascertain if the problem might have been airborne blue mould. Blue mould is a very common problem in this area, and it causes panic when an outbreak occurs. The last major outbreak was way back in 2009, but there are isolated incidences of the problem that don’t develop into major headaches. http://www.newschannel5.com/story/10874743/blue-mold-could-put-tobacco-farmers-in-the-red I would hate to hold these two fine gentlemen accountable for an unfortunate circumstance outside of their control. They are both true artisans. Cheers
I keep my artisan snuffs in the freezer and no mold grows. They need a few minutes to warm up, but otherwise show no ill effects from freezing. And it seems to keep the moisture level just right…not dry, not too moist, just right. Its also very dry where I live so perhaps that helps. My problem is snuff getting too dry.
