I wouldn’t adulterate snuff with eliquid but I really doubt it’s particularly dangerous to do so.
I was looking at nasal care products and saw this product. It is designed specifically to go into the nose. It contains PG and VG. Ayr Saline Nasal Gel - Apply Ayr Gel around nostrils and under nose, as often as needed. Ayr Gel may be placed in nostrils to help relieve discomfort. Use during the day and at bedtime to prevent drying and crusting. Water , Methyl Gluceth 10 , Propylene Glycol , Glycerin , Glyceryl Polymethacrylate , Triethanolamine , Aloe Vera (Aloe Barbadensis) Leaf JuiceAloe Vera Gel , PEG/PPG 18/18 Dimethicone , Carbomer , Poloxamer 184 , Sodium Chloride , Xanthan Gum , Diazolidinyl Urea , Methylparaben , Propylparaben , Glycine Soja OilSoybean , Geraniuim Maculatum Oil , Tocopheryl Acetate (Vitamin E) , Blue 1 Lake (CI 42090)
That may also be a usable option, but all those chemicals makes me uncomfortable. What is your goal? Fortify snuff with nicotine? Just re-hydrate? If you’re really just re-hydrating, putting your snuff on a plate, then placing the plate in a tupperware (or any other closable container) with water under the plate for 24-48 hours works wonders… You could skip all this other stuff. Water is definitely cheaper than Ayr, and very effective when used as I described. I recommend using bottled water, or distilled water. I see in the news the land of the free or should that be prohibition are banning more, e-cigs this time, left right and centre claiming they are spewing out dangerous chemicals. No problem with cars etc of course. I vape and cycle and personally I would love to see the anti smokers faces if cars were banned. They rant about breathing a molicule of smoke or vapour while mass poluting with their vehicles but no that’s good poison. Wouldn’t be anything to do with $$$$$$$ and a few rich at risk of no longer getting it all for themselves. Noooooooo… Actually it just occured to me that Europe will become almost as bad but that both they and the US in some instances have legalised Marijuana??? but e-cigs. Ban them Ban them. They’ve killed millions, no wait, make that nobody. They will try but they will be exposed for the charlatens they are, yet again. Governments really do have no interest in peoples enjoyment fo life unless of course they can tax it heavily or are making huge backhanders from drugs barons (why else would they not have legalised and taxed that?). Actually it’s the banks money laundering operation who in turn pay off the governments. Then it’s suddenly all safe and good like gambling, loan sharks and 24hour drinking here in the UK.
actually @I_snuff_therefore___ its usually cigarette companies that fund these campaigns and create shadow groups that are supposedly anti-tobacco. They’re worried that e-cigs are hurting their profits. We had the same thing with the PACT act. As a cyclist myself, I’m still waiting for the car ban but only about 1/3 of me due to the pollution. Another third of me for suburban sprawl and the last third for the traffic fatalities. A local cycling advocate here was struck from behind by a small truck and killed just last year.
I think they should ban all headwinds here in Northern Ireland and a good bit of the rain also. Hope the Giro d’Italia like’s it here in May. I’m feeling rantish today and yet I wear smile, ok maybe like a lunatic! >:)
I was not suggesting to mix the gel with the snuff, just that the ingredients in e-liquid, namely PG and VG are safe in the nose. There seemed to be some concern expressed about their use. Nasal Snuff is really under the radar in the USA. If it ever gets much attention though, you can bet a politician trying to make a name for himself will try to ban it. And since many people can get very judgemental about something they don’t need or use, it would not surprise me if it does eventually get banned. Right now the focus is on e-cigs, which is really stupid in my opinion. But, it is keeping the nanny’s attention off snuff!
Yeah, I used to really think the more people who use snuff the better. But I bet if it became as popular as ecigs, the attention would be a pain. And the taxes. Probably go up 1000 fold. Like bitcoins. Well, we all have early adapter advantage. Buy ten kilos now, you’ll be laughing when the counter-revolution comes!
