How Frequently Do You Snuff?

@wanderingwoodsmith - Why thank you; that’s very kind of you to say :"> It was off the cuff actually… I just say what I feel. Sadly [for me] a google moment later; it seems I’m not that much of an original thinker after all: According to that: The phrase originated in 1920 in a periodical called “The Christian Advocate”. The phrase was used by the theologian Lynn H. Hough within his outline for a Sunday School Lesson discussing a letter from Simon Peter. “He wanted his friends to realize that life is a journey and not a destination; that the heart must be set upon those matters of character which are eternal and not upon those matters of sensation which pass away.” Apparently in 1993 the rock band Aerosmith released the single Amazing which also contains this phrase! :open_mouth:

@MisterPaul that kind of thinking would be very off key in any Sunday school I’ve seen in modern times. But nonetheless it is a great piece of wisdom.

Excellent advice! Thanks so much guys :slight_smile:

From 4:30pm to 11:59pm, very rarely in am. But it is 5am everywhere sometimes.

I try to pack fairly large amounts of thick coarse snuff, it is a lot easier to maintain longer periods of nicotine. I went from smoking to POS ecigs for a couple years, and quit that bunch of bs using snuff and chewing tobacco. The chewing tobacco happened on accident. I have dipped and chewed off and on not really too habitually for long. Why I said it was an accident, was I accidentally ordered a bundle of Makla, and was repulsed at first, but gave it a shot and WHEW! That stuff was intense, insane, head spinning nicotine goodness. Really wanted to order more, but ended up just chewing Levi Garrett for a few months. Then eventually quit only because I was using all 3 ecigs, snuff, and chew… It was just too much crap in my pockets, the snuff won because it was simple. I used A LOT at first, now my nasal tells me when im at max capacity and eventually either runs out my face or drains. Then, you are getting the long lasting nicotine feeling that I believe you are missing, as you have to gut that shit. Not like dip where it is very disturbing to ingest even a little bit. Anyway, there wasnt much point to anything I just typed, but, you may check out the Makla some day, or you may come back here and tell me im disgusting… for suggesting to dip something that is debate able as being some sort of camel poop.

@coreymillia So you find that swallowing the throat-drip from snuff is more tolerable on the body (not just the senses) than dip juice? Dip can give me heart burn at times even though I spit it out (I guess some of the juice drips down my throat without me knowing it).

I think quite a lot goes down without us knowing! Sometimes I think it’s giving me indigestion, but it turns out to be the family bag of Kettle Chips I ate whilst watching TV. So I don’t worry now, and take as much snuff as I feel like. But I do blow my nose a lot.

I agree with coreymillia on trying Makla. You don’t need much, use it like snus; it delivers nicotine fast. It is pretty sharp in texture I only had the platinum and it not very tasty but I got hooked.

@coreymillia , @basement_shaman , I have a can of Makla Platinum, haven’t had a chance to play with it. It is a weird muddy -looking thing but I kinda like the aroma ( ammonia + who knows what )…I might try this weekend and report back. This dude “Outlaw” has a funny you tube series and features Makla on one episode- frikin hilarious!

@troop111 I do, not really sure why, but I dipped for a while, and liked it a lot, but the problem was ingesting on accident. I feel its not only more tolerable, but rather enjoyable (sometimes its rough if you dont have something to wash it down with. I use a strong coarse tobacco through out the day. Usually after 30-45 min of a few LARGE pinches, it drains. Its a similar feeling you get, when say you try to drink anything while having a chunk of tobacco in your mouth. Except, with dip it felt like there was A LOT more tobacco juice, and sometimes I would want to barf. Chew, not so much. With snuff its different more of a burn, and its like, damn, this stuff is working now, then im relaxed, and ready for anything. Not really sure what is in either of them but there is something in dip that makes gutting it terrible. Plus, they both have a lot more nicotine than nasal snuff, there are days I miss a nice big chaw of tobacco. Like… right now. @jmahes It dries out kind of quick, or I stored mine improperly… just beware… that shit made me crave more, despite the first month that I had it I stored it in the yard to try to scare off the skunk and savage raccoons. What you do is roll a little chunk up, and shove it in your upper lip. Oh man… I almost want to order some… Time for some schmalzler.

@coreymillia , haha sounds good!

@coreymillia Okay, so you feel a greater release of nicotine when you swallow the snuff throat drip?

Small pinches every few minutes a little while after waking up, combined with some black or green tea. Only about once per hour at most, when I’m outside studying or working. I’m just not comfortable enough with having the stuff in my face and nose when I’m around people. But in the evenings …I’m holding incontinent snuff orgies like it would be my last day of using snuff. I guess I’m overcompensating the accrued cravings of the day :))

Whenever the urge hits me which is usually all day long…

Best whenever I feel like it! No need to story it.

@troop111 Yeah for sure, I mean thats when it feels like I am getting a proper dose of nicotine. Well, technically balancing a large pile inside your face with out it going anywhere gives me the most nicotine. But if it starts to act up I turn my head backwards, rather than getting a runny nose, the drain is like the icing on a cake. However, if it feels thick like snot, I hack that shit up. Sometimes blowing my nose is inevitable. It only happens a couple times per day also. Pretty much depending on how my day is going, or where I’m at.

Consumption went up dramatically after I quit heavy cigar smoking. The last time this subject came up I calculated about eight grams of coarse snuff a day – a tricky computation as I generally buy canisters by the pound in weight. Pinches are as large as possible, taken frequently throughout the day. I rarely notice the effect of nicotine, but feel uncomfortable if I go for more than 30 minutes without taking some more.

I use snus and snuff at the same time sometimes. I snuff a few times a day and use snus and an e-cig when I don’t snuff. Sometimes I"ll put it down for a week, then go back at it. I recall when I used to smoke cigs, i ran out of them. I snuffed every 10-15 minutes that night. A few pinches here and there. I have snuffed a bunch all at once and that’s fun too. Your body will tell you how much you should use.
