Gutkha

I am really excited to announce another new line of tobacco products.

These have been one of my favorite alternative-to-snuff ways to ingest the N for several years since I first tried it in India about 5 years ago. The product in question: Gutkha.

Like Makla, Gutkha is not for everyone. It is very strong, highly flavored with masala and sweet flowery type perfumes. If you want to try it start with a very small amount and slowly build up to 1-2g, wherever your personal tolerance lies. Pour it in your mouth, tounge it over to the side, kind of jam it down there and wait. The hard little rocks will gradually soften up and you can over the course of an hour or two slowly chew them. I never bother spitting but I know some people do. That's up to you.

If you have any questions let me know.

Is betal nut legal in canada?

My understanding is that betel nut is illegal to import into Canada, probably for the last 20 years or so.

I may have to look into this, but probably as more of a one off then anything else.  I recall the combo of betel and tobacco has a synergistic effect, both in terms of its effects on the user and on its carcinogenicity.    I’ll have to look into it some more to see what the literature says, but I’ve seen a good deal of stuff around linking gutkha with oral cancers.  Who knows, could be valid, could be that same sort of crap we spout here about dip.  Either way, I’ll give it a go eventually.

What’s the score with twist and the big C, I was considering giving it a bash.

@shikitohno I think it’s the slaked lime that’s used that is the culprit.

@Juxtaposer Don’t they use slaked lime in our 'whites"? (D.white, 6P.Cheeta, etc.)

Whites form the base of my daily mixes… would hate to take on extra risk. I just got used to the idea that I have found a cheap and enjoyable way to ride the N dragon!

@Gsnuff I would attribute higher risk to the habit of putting unmixed slaked lime into a quid where while chewing the mouth may be exposed to pure slaked lime.

Shake lime and toasted Anadenanthera colubrina ,geometric shapes and smelling colors. Not recommended for earth people only for psychonauts if you like to chew something try Acorus calamus better for the soul But support Mr.snuff; that’s my life line to the good snuff world on this side of the pond.

Yeah the betel nuts just kind of made me feel like I had smoked too much tobacco, kinda feinty

I found this after looking up Gutkha with Google. http://www.livestrong.com/article/112423-side-effects-gutkha/ Some scary stuff there. Think I’ll stick with my nasal snuff! Unkei

Sounds like what I went through when I drank some nicotine by accident from an e-cig when the cartridge gave out

just because lance armstrong had cancer he has now jumped on the anti tobacco bandwagon …

the livestrong foundation is spending 1.5 million in california to try and get a $1 a pack tax passed

@Unkei what scares me the most about it isn’t that it cause these bad effects but that it doesn’t seem all that great. Almost like sure alchool maybe not good for you but at least it really works. Where as gutkha to me sounds like I can get that kind of buzz without harming myself.

Interesting tidbit for you: Johnson and Johnson have donated $500,000,000 (yes half a billion dollars) to the anti-smoking sham nazis. Wonder why? Is big pharma all of a sudden concerned about health? Or could it be that they have some sort of pecuniary interest? Could they perhaps own several nicotine delivery systems of their own? Could it be that they are trying to make tobacco illegal in order to make patches, gum and lozenges the only source of nicotine (which btw they now tout as a ‘beneficial’ drug)?

Or is that too cynical?

The fact that they have a half billion dollars to donate is what kills.

@mr.snuff    yep the robert woods johnson foundation anytime a smoking ban is on the books in the us they are most likely behind it  . send paid shills to city council meetings etc
