Asking for snuff is a good sign. DVT is scary stuff. I’m glad the hospital took care of him quickly. Heal fast, Tony.
Ouch! Not good news, but finding it in time was. Send my best to Tony when you next see him, John.
Any more news yet, John?
No more news, but we have a saying “No News Is Good News.” His son Douglas has my land-line and mobile numbers and the arraignment was he was to ring me when Tony is in a regular ward. I just rung his home number but his wife Penny must be out. I have his mobile number but although they are relaxing restrictions of there use in hospitals I’m sure it will be switched off. I’ll ring Penny later, and any news I’ll post on this tread. Edit:- Just tried ringing him, his mobile is switched off. John
Thank you John, for caring and for keeping us updated!
Copy of text just received from Tony’s son:- “Hi John, Just to let you know tony is improving. He should be moved to the ward this evening. He will be there for another week yet though most likely. Doug” I text Doug back and said I’m letting you all know on this forum.
Thanks John! I know you will tell him we all love him.
Thanks John! Most likely, they’re keeping him in that long for tests to make sure there aren’t clots forming anywhere else. Then they send you home with a bottle of Plavix. It’s never fun being stuck in Hospital, though.
I made a list of all on here who checked in on this thread and wished Tony well. I went to see him yesterday (Mon 5th.) in hospital, he looked well and in good spirits sat up at the side of his bed in his shorts with a table beside him full of snuff boxes and tins! I offered him a pinch from my half full extra large tin of McC’s O&G he said that’s nice, I must ring Penny and ask her to bring mine. No need I left the O&G with him as I have one full one at home as backup. He’ll be in for about a week if he takes things easy, he’s in good hands in that hospital. I’m sure he will be posting on hear soon.
Terrific news, John! That´s just what I needed to read.
Thanks for the update Snuff Head. I’m glad he’s getting better (again). Make sure he follows the doctor’s orders. My mom has DVT and has to keep her legs elevated a lot. It falls to me to remind her sometimes.
Bloody hell poor Tony! If its not one thing then its another. Wish him well from me John. Stefan
Thanks for the good news, John! Was starting to get very worried.
So glad he’s up and snuffing again! I’ve had a terrible couple of days but it’s heartened me to know that Tony’s on the mend. Please send him my best regards again, John.
Thanks for the good news John. A snuffer can’t be snuffed!
@ toffeenose, I’m so sorry you have been unwell too. Get back to your feet soon Debbie.
Glad to hear Tony is doing well. Can’t wait for him to get back on his feet. Hope things go better, Toffee.
It seems like everyone’s under the weather at the moment. Hope you’re feeling better, Debbie!
Thanks, guys - I had a day off yesterday, put my feet up and relaxed with a selection of snuffs and what do you know - I’ve got a spring in my step again!
And I thought I had it rough when my stepson punched the computer screen out. Physical pangs almost always trump mental anguish when it comes to empathy. My sympathies embodied ones.
