I remember cafe royal, my grandfather used to take it from time to time. Whenever I smell Tia Maria it reminds me of it, same with cafe 11.
I’m a v. unexperienced snuffer who just got my 2nd order of snuff, which included Snuffstores Café Noire. My expectations were sky high, but god damn was i disapointed. To me, CN smells nothing like coffee, but rather reminds me of smoked sausage. Nothing inherently wrong with smoked sausage, but it just ain’t coffee. From what I understand CN is a very appreciated snuff, and I’m just writing this post to see if there are more disappointed snuffers out there.
I love coffee snuffs but, like you, Café Noire did nothing for me. I agree with @chefdaniel in saying that Abraxas Cafe 11 is the best there is. Highly recommended. But then, chef daniel himself makes a snuff (temporarily unavailable) that is called Old Mill Cafe Brulot that is tremendously good. Also highly recommended. Watch for it when it is once again available. Wow Coffee Bite is also very good.
SG Black Coffee reminds me of wet coffee grounds. Abraxas Cafe 11 reminds me of coffee mixed with some cream, sugar, and a bit o’ N. SG is closer to the way I take my cup. Cafe 11 is a treat.
