Since coffee is my favorite beverage and snuff scent I decided to have a go at the Indian snuff offerings featuring coffee; at least the ones that I can get and I think are all Indian. Quit Irish Coffee; not bad coffee scent, slightly sweet, nice base flour, smooth and easy. WOW Coffee Bite; not as sweet but with a ‘creamy’ note instead of the liqueur sweetness of Quit Fugazi Black Joe; as mentioned before, “funky” Six Photo Coffee Kick; well named, great nic hit and decent coffee scent, but the menthol detracts IMHO Anyone else want to chime in? Buehler? Buehler?
I agree about the 6 Photo. I thought the menthol might add a nice dimension but it didn’t really do it for me. I’m just fine with my SG Black Coffee but I might have to give the Irish Coffee and the Coffee Bite a try.
@crullers I guess I like SG Black Coffee. I bought a kilo not long ago and damned if that cat hasn’t been dipping her paws into it. It’s down to about 100 grams and I doubt another deal like that will come my way soon. Give those other two a shot and let us know what you think of them. Cheers
I’ve had wow coffee bite. I mostly like it, good Nic hit, good coffee scent up front, but does turn funky after some time in the nose, and over indulgence results in black stringy boogies popping out at the worst times.
I’ve heard Cafe 11 is the holy grail of coffee snuffs though, I haven’t had the pleasure yet.
I feel the same about Coffee. My wish is I’ll be able to contribute my opinions on any of them soon. I could not turn down an Irish Coffee snuff. I lived on Bushmills or Jameson Irish Whisky and coffee for a few winters while living in Chicago. There’s nothing better at 2 in the morning after getting off work. Now I’d prefer the snuff. Or both.
Fugazi Black Joe DOES have a pretty good black coffee scent but it is coupled with something that smells like industrial cleaning fluid, which probably lends some verisimilitude for veterans remembering trying to enjoy a cup of coffee in the mess hall while some idiot is mopping the floor next to you. IMO the best all around coffee snuff is the inexpensive, unpretentious Grado, sure there is a little menthol at the start but it serves only to open up the nose for some pretty realistic coffee aroma. PS I’m shocked that @chefdaniel’s fave beverage is coffee, my money was on the bourbon.
@Ivan My bad. Allow me to clarify. My favorite non-alcoholic beverage is coffee. My favorite beverage is bourbon with Tennessee Sour Mash running neck and neck…their might be a photo finish at the wire.
