@Gentleman I am the photographer for all the photos I’ve uploaded.
what a nice idea. Thank you for your efforts in hopefully making our mode of tobacco use more popular. it is after all the best way of getting more of it available at local stores and more folks making it. thus more types to try, use and purchase. Not like the guy who goes to his local gas station or grocery store to get a pack of ciggies. even here in Missouri where they grow tobacco not more than 10 miles away, it is difficult to find snuff other than w.e garrett sweet or plain, thats about it. not even cigar/ tobacco shops in kansas city have imported snuff for sale. KC is only about an hour drive south of saint joseph missouri. so thanks again…i plan on uploading photos of my collection and my containers and old tins…
The site is looking very nice indeed. Could be the major source on the internet if it doesn’t fall prey to any of the natural obstacles in the path of a new venture, which touch wood etc it won’t.
I thought I wouldn’t have time to play on this site - believe me, its addictive:)
Long may that continue.
And now, the moment you’ve all been waiting for! Before I go on to announce the winners of the contest, I’d just like to thank everyone that has taken part. A lot of time and knowledge has been imparted and its been truly invaluable. Also, there was a lot more interest shown toward the project than I expected, and for that I’m very pleased. If your name has been mentioned above then congratulations! :D/ To claim your prize, please contact me via private message. If, for whatever reason, you wish to decline your prize, then a new winner will be selected in your place. Winners have 28 days from today’s date to claim their prize, if I don’t hear back from them within that time period then again, a new winner will be selected in their place.
On another note, a lot of help is still needed with the Wiki. It’d be great if we could keep the contributions up, and hopefully make the site a much more definitive and valuable resource. It’s definitely not going to be a task that can be achieved overnight, but it will be a very rewarding one.
Hope you all had a very happy Easter.
Geoff of SnuffWiki.
It’s coming along quite nicely and I actually enjoyed it, I learnt a lot of new stuff just by putting things on there. The more resources the better, and the more people know about snuff the better too. The only reason I had never used snuff before when I was smoking was because I had never heard of it. Now, I’ve given up smoking due to it, My mom’s been smoking for 30 years and now she uses snuff on occasion, my Dad uses it too when he remembers lol, also my friends have started using it and some moving from cigarettes to pipes or e-cigs, so the more people are aware that there are other things than just cigarettes, snuff being one of them, the better for everyone and the more resources with information the more likely people can know about it and maybe change their health for the better.
Plus for us already being snuffers all that info is one place. The history of snuff and the snuff companies histories are really interesting and I’m sure it will pad out nicely with more info.
Congratulations aswell to the other winners.
Well done to the winners and lets keep those contributions flowing;)
Congrats to all involved, its a fantastic source of info.
It will be great to see the snuff reviews expanding, with those aficiandos giving us the benefit of their experiences.
