I don’t know how many of our members visited this site yet but I would really like to recommend doing so. There are some very interesting articles for all snuffers, especially about the history of snuff. There is also Snuff Talk talk where I picked up som tips on making my own snuff.
Yes, it’s a good site. I’m also a member. The problem is, it’s hard to keep updated on many sites. As long as I can keep in touch with my snuffing buddies here is where I’ll be most of the time. I don’t check in as often on that other site although I do like it. It doesn’t get the volume of posting and not everyone is active there.
I had another look at this site. It’s even got a link to Snuffhouse and it contains a lot of interesting info. You won’t regret going there.
I have poked around there a bit too. I joined about the same time I joined this forum, I just get on here a lot more often for some reason.
Leman, I’m not going to join there, I’m just interested in the articles about snuff and I’m reading the book about the history of snuff. Thanks for the tip about the Levi Garrett on eBay. I want that snuff, so I will watch it and go for it!
They have a review of a very obscure SA snuff, the name I can’t recall. Their forum I have browsed at, esp when this one was down, but it’s very inactive. I think this is the main international snuffers home, and for good reason.
Its got some good articles and I joined a couple of years ago, but as said there is not enough volume on the comments to keep the interest up. Another one is snuff tobacco UK which suffers from the same problem. The thing that makes this site unique is that it is constantly being added to and the discussions move on each day. With the great increase in numbers, it will be interesting to see how many people are still around in a year. People seem to have an active phase for a few months and then tail off. I put this down to how often people are prepared to have the same converstaion over and over - the mark of the true obsessive! (or truly sad, nerdlike, eccentric…)
“truly sad, nerdlike, eccentric…” - Guilty as charged, m’lud! I still go back to Snuff Talk occasionally for the articles but for discussion you can’t beat this place.
yep, me too, takes one to know one! I once went on a sponsored skydive buddy jump and the instructors talked amongst themselves about parachutes and harnesses all day endlessly - we are just typical hobbyists!
