air cured rustica wanted

Thanks for that link Juxtaposer! Amazing read!

@lunecat , i bought very similar/identical from bouncingbearbotanicals.com, i think it may be a sister site. It is not aircured, i would say its a plug style- very moist, dense, and cured/fermented. I have been chopping it and rolling it, quite satisfying. My log was around $20 including shipping, and was quite a large chunk of heady goodness I was wondering if anyone knew, is Rustica hindered by the same laws as regular tobacco? Being a slightly different plant, i was curious.

I grew three small plants ,started way too late .I don’t think it has time to flower.I think I mix it with klip dagga and Catnip buds for synergy.

We have lots of Rustica if anyone wants to buy some. Just email me and I’ll send it out.

Hi Roderick, have you thought of making a snuff that was all Rustica?

^ I think it would blend well with orange or vanilla. A lot of other things might contrast with that robust rustica scent.

But that would result in you finally making a strong snuff, and we all know Roderick was bitten by a strong snuff as a child and has an aversion…

Tonka beans and rustica get along very well

Yeah, Tonka is even better than vanilla.

mmm tonka/rustica, call it “blend 2971” or “elmo’s unreserved”

Also I vote for a medium or coarse grind, that way the goodness will be released more slowly. Also I think orange would be nice, but never the less the die has been cast, rustica it is

I’ve been mixing rustica with Toque SP Extra and it is extra nice. The rustica has almost no scent, but adds a new dimension to the SP, making it a little less intense in the scent dept, but a little stronger in the nicotine or whatever alkaloids are in the rustica. I have read the stuff about panic attacks, but I don’t overdo it, so as yet, I haven’t experienced any unusual side effects.

Try classifieds at howtogrowtobacco.com probably some for sale/trade

I have both fin and coarse ground Toque Rustica. Alone, I find them rather bland, but mixing them in with other snuffs makes them better in my opinion. I am growing “hopi” indian tobacco this spring. I have started them in my window, but will have to wait for the weather to get warm before transplanting outside. And to one of the above posts: I put a giant tonka bean in my rustica coarse, and it has made it a lot nicer.

I like the rustica as it is now still offered by Toque. It is good pure, no panic attacks here or any other issues. That is a little exaggerated! And the scent is quite flowery by itself, I don’t mix it. The snuff itself isn’t that strong too take, but the effect of the tobacco is better to feel as with the regular tobacco. To me it is relaxing/calming, gives open mind and increases alertness. Not too big pinches since it has the side effect of giving a slight dizziness. I think that will fade away as you take it more often, it is the same effect much of us remember “when taking their first cigarette”. But when you are only sitting or lying down you don’t pay attention to a little dizziness. @Roderick in what way is this a “limited edition”? Could you acquire a bunch of rustica only once, or will you continue to stock the 50gr rustica bags?

I have a bunch a rustica in my barn that I grew this summer. I tried to make snuff with it, but it tasted too green. I am hoping it will taste better after I pack it away for the winter. The Toque Rustica, that tastes different to me. Very mild and earthy, lots on nicotine, but I find it pretty bland.

I agree @Salmiak, I bought some rustica (fin) from Toque for blending purposes, but really like to take it plain. It has a wonderful sweet, herbal aroma, a bit hard to explain, really. I find the nicotine release perhaps slower than most other snuffs but it’s not anything overwhelmingly powerful, IMO.

I have seeds, if you think they will arrive ok let me know if anyone wants any. I’m in Australia, might be a problem to get them sent overseas, I am not sure.
