A gift of Indian Snuff.

Gujarat, is that what the Sikhs use? I feel like I knew more about India stuff years ago, especially when I was a Brahmacharya. I haven’t been studying lately. I’m more on a UFO interest these days, though the Vimana interests me too.

@khalid maybe someone could get mr.snuff to get it for his shop, so we all could try it. i wonder if it would be a problem in Germany because of the swastika and the intolerance of german authorities towards the possbility that this symbol could be used in a manner totally unrelated to our sad past… however, i got some slip of tonque (fingers !!!) here XD … what i would like to get across is, i would like to taste this stuff

I was just in the Ft. Worth area of Texas, and wandered into an Indian supermarket. At first the lady had no idea what snuff was, but then when she understood “oh you want for nose…” she led me over to the powder section. Right next to the Pooja Powder were, lo and behold, three very large tins of Gujurati snuff, at $1.99 each. Needless to say,I bought all 3.

Sikhs mostly live in the state of Punjab. Its the state where I live at present. And Tom what’s about this brahmacharya?

@ Vikas Meri bivi punjabi hai

I was a Gaudiya Vaisnava Brahmacharya for a while at New Vrindaban Sri Sri Radha Vrindaban Chandra Mandir.

Did you loose a lot of weight?

Tom how long did you stay in India?and where are u now?

I did not lose weight because we ate pakoras and gulabjamuns all the time, and chapatis. @vikas it was in the USA, West Virginia ISKCON Ashram. I am in the USA now.

It’s tea time here and you’re making me hungry with all this talk about pakoras etc. I have to wait until next week when I fly out.

By the by, this Gujurati snuff keeps really well. The tins I found in Ft Worth should have been stale by now, as they were dated 2007(!), but they are still very nice with the sharp rose/ghee/talcum powder type aroma. Seems like all things Indian are made to keep.

The ones I got at a local Indian shop are rather dated too, but seem fine to me. I think overall, if unopened, snuff will last a long time.

Dry snuffs last longer than the moist types.Moist types after a periodof time lose their freshness due to loss of moisture content.

@Vikas is dead on there…I’ve yet to have any of my Dholakia, Rathnaman, or Uma to lose their aroma…Indian snuff is built to last!!

I am very eager to try the other Indian snuffs out there. I am not complaining, but Mr. Snuff has only had the 6 Photo and Dholakia lines in stock for the last couple months. If anyone finds an online source for other Indian snuffs, please both post and PM me, just to make sure I don’t miss it. I just sent an e-mail to Snuffwork, and I hope they reply. Perhaps a buyers’ group in the States could band together and put in a large enough order to make it worth the proprietors’ effort.
