Tried any good mixtures of snuff at home?

I’m one of those nuts who can’t wait for winter and the cold weather so I mixed toque Xmas pudding with sharrow chocolate mint to help get me in the mood as it gets colder. At about a 3:1 ratio it’s pretty nice! Wondering if anyone else has come up with some clever stuff they’re proud of, I have some latakia I’m dying to play with in this way.

I mix snuff I like, snuff I don’t, and the dregs from my day boxes. Regarding snuff I like, I use base snuffs such as Viking Brown, Viking Blonde, Thors Hammer, Toque Plain Coarse, and add into them scented snuffs. The more pungent Friboug and Treyers work really well, as do snuffs like Firedance and Celtic Talisman. I sometimes use GH Cherry or Dry Orange too. Mix to suit your own tastes. The dregs from my day boxes (Mr Snuff Roccoco boxes) just get ditched in a Sharrowmills heartwood slidebox. I’ll either pinch from this or refill a day box with it. The blend varies according to what’s been ditched in there, but is usually very pleasant. If it takes on a bad scent, I’ll ditch it out and start over. My “reject” blends are snuffs I wasn’t keen on by themselves. One blend is Coffee and Mints, and another is Fruit Salad. You can figure out for yourself what they consist of. Between these two there is well over 100g of snuff. The third is called Granny’s Stew and consists of everything else (no menthol) and completely fills a SG 450g bulk tub. All three of these have taken on a flavour more enjoyable than their constituent parts. Well over 50% of my snuff use are these various mixtures. I also have plain KB, Thors Hammer, Toque Plain Coarse, Firedance, and Celtic Talisman in bulk for this reason

gawith apricot and snuffstore cafe noire, 1/4 was kinda refreshing.

By accident I mixed up some OM Butternut and OM Equinox. I’m not sure of the proportions of each, but it turned into a warming winter blend that is really good.

Mix any Poschl snuff with Dholakia White.  The DW adds much needed nicotine to the weak Poschl snuffs and the Poschl snuff makes the DW clumpy and easier to take.  Also Poschl snuffs are so artificially flavoured that a mix as high as 5 parts DW to one part Poschl will still smell and taste of pure Poschl.

I also like to mix a little menthol snuff with a plain scotch for a lightly mentholated scotch snuff.

Like @50ft_trad I also have a reject jar that I throw all my unliked snuffs and snuffs that have gone stale and aren’t worth rehydrating.  It is suprisingly good especially considering its made up of stuff I dont like, its like a “sum is greater than its parts” type deal.

Just goes to show you that you should never throw out snuff.

@Bizarrestaff if you do, it might be worth getting a couple of jars. It takes a while for the flavours to infuse, so at some point you need to stop dumping your snuff for a while, then go back and revisit it. Besides which, it’s nice to have more than one blend stewing. Personally I don’t put menthol in, as I think it screws it all up, but feel free to mix as you please. I also agitate the jars occasionally to help the mixing. As @n9incknails rightly says, the total is more than the sum of it’s parts. However, sometimes it can take on a bit of an unbalanced scent, so it needs more stuff dumping in. At other times it will seem “complete” and then it’s time to start dumping your offcasts in the other jar.

I enjoy Spanish Gem with SG Honey 3:2 and use that everyday.

@Icepick I like that mix also but I use Swisher~Honey Bee instead of SG Honey.I make sure I have some in one of my tap boxes. :-bd Another mix I enjoy is Old Mills Cupid’s Crest mixed with Dholakia Swiss chocolate.

Another mix that I like is Wild Cherry mixed with Toque vanilla and a little Honey :bz for additional sweetness. It’s like a Cherry Vanilla snuff with a honey sweetness after. Only thing is it was hard for me to get the Wild Cherry scotch. But I found a new can on EBay :D/

I just mixed toque 1 parts toque rustica w/ 1.5 parts toque usa whiskey & honey, and it is really good. Especially paired with a pint of Duvel golden ale.
