Bernard’s Zwiefacher, found lurking in a coat pocket, nearly full too.
Happy new year to one and all, wishing you fair winds and following seas for 2025.

Some of Simon’s Marrakesh this evening while watching hockey, go Wild, and smoking 18# of pork butt
WoS Brunswick Black Rappee.
It’s like a drier unscented WoS Best Dark.
Best Dark has too much scent IMO. It overtakes the sense and makes it useless to use any nuanced snuffs afterward.
A 1 part Best Dark to 3 parts Brunswick would be a nice balanced mix.
Best Dark uses a different tobacco blend to Brunswick, with burley added. Assuming all things are even (and snuff is fresh), Bruswick should also contain more moisture than Best Dark.
Cold here so some Gletscher Prise.
Kendal - Blue Crest. Medium grind light milk chocolate color. Earthy, musty, reminds me of Aunt Karen’s drawers. Quite easy to use
Kendal - Cob Gold. Fine grind, medium dark. Light, earthy aroma. Little burn
Löwenprise. One of my favorites.
Kendal - Scotch Black. Moist, medium grind, black color. Aroma of moist earth, clean-mature compost and old chimney flu. Sounds awful but I like it
The “monster mix”
Pretty much every style of snuff you can think of, comprising of 30+ snuffs. Just bits of unfinished tins and stuff I didn’t like. Turned out to be kinda like an indian plain, which I don’t mind actually
Funny you should mention your ‘monster mix’.
My daughter, bless her, suggested the other day that we should get a big tub and empty into it any expiring or otherwise end-of-life snuff to create, what she called, a ‘Frankensnuff’. Then sell it cheap.
I laughed it off, but you know, maybe there is an idea in there?
What is your monster mix like in the nose? Does it turn into some kind of average (as in the sum divided) snuff
Poschl Perlesreuter in my nose
Kendal - Cob Gold. Medium dark, medium grind. Aroma a touch bright with pleasant burn.
Rosinski Klippenritt, perfect.
@Jonny 30% menthols (I don’t care for menthols) 50% English non-menthols (preferable, but I still didn’t like the floral or something I didn’t really enjoy) and about 20% Indian (Janta variety pack mostly) which I didn’t used to like but now do.
It comes off as soft in the nose – maybe a few sieve problems, but it is negligible. Mostly just a tobacco scent with a hint of Indian. Maybe like a 6 photo LA or something? But better.
I tinkered here and there with it but not a lot. Just stuff snuff!
Ozona O in one side and Otto OM in the other.
These snuffs are very similar and both very nice to use in the morning.
After Bernard Gekachelter Virginie was no longer available, I switched to Poschl Perlesreuter, it’s not ideal but I haven’t found anything better - maybe you have some ideas?
We will have the full range of neo-Bernard’s in stock soon. The order has been placed, we are just awaiting the delivery.
Toque - Lime Toast. Fine grind. Muted yellowish cast. Mild citrus smell. Decent overall
@Jonny Did they change the artwork by chance?
