Snuff and a Pipe: Perfect Unity

@Kaiser_Wilhelm No, that why I had to drive LOL >:)

Being a fellow nicotine fiend, I wholeheartedly understand, @basement_shaman

I too have considered this, but have not due to concerns about burning chemicals that were never meant to be burnt… That is, while some of the aromatic compounds may be fairly natural (e.g., actual roses used to create rose scents/flavors), it is my understanding that numerous, if not all, snuff manufacturers add in other things to “enhance” the experience (e.g., decongestants). I’m somewhat reticent to burn these chemicals as this could have toxicological ramifications. A slightly safer option may be to vaporize a dose of snuff to release both the nic as well as the aromatics without combustion… Perhaps this is just another example of my over-thinking things… :o)

Pipe sprinkles, I wouldn’t want to ruin my delicious pipe tobacco with some snuff. If you need to enhance your pipe tobacco maybe your smoking the wrong stuff. Double snuff dose after false light enjoy the drip and rest the bowl another double dose fire it up again.I will proceed with this right now. This is what I call harmony Elmos Reserve and a big bowl of 1792 flake.

That’s a match made in tonquin heaven!! Love it.

I do it quite often. My favorite is a rose scented snuff sprinklied on Latakia blends

Sounds kinda like a Lakeland experience which I like a lot, I will definitely have to try it.

I’ve done this before. If you wait until just before bed to use your pipe. Fill your pipe and put a layer of snuff on top. Light her up and make sure to inhale slightly. Let it out slowly… before you’ve exhaled completely, you should get a massive buzz. …I don’t care for the flavor, but feeling like I’ve taken morphine for about a minute is fun once in. A while.

I’ve done this many times. My favorite sprinkled topping is O & G. I do not notice any nicotine increase while doing this. Purely for flavor/sensation reasons.

it is done to make pipe tobacco more aromatic. I know some people use SG snuffs. (I don’t know why they choose Samual Gawith)

they add the pinches not at the beginning but regularly after burning.

Since I was raised by depression parents, I was programmed not to waste anything. Rather then throwing out my moldy cdf I’ve decided using it as pipe sprinkles on 1792 flake and some other hard to stay lit tobaccos. Dried out it helps keep it lit and I am not concerned about the small amount of mold that burns off;since I am not inhaling the smoke. Hoarding is today considered a sickness; my mother[god rest her soul] would claim it is being thrifty.

i found this at dholakai website “Many pipe smokers have also taken to the old English act of adding a sprinkle of their favorite snuff into their burning bowl of pipe tobacco for an added aroma, taste, and nicotine boost.”

I just dropped a pinch of Dragun in a bowl of Macbaren Golden Extra…not an option I’ll explore in the future. Although some of the floral snuffs mixed with a Lakeland tobacco…

If I start smoking a pipe again I will, within a week, start inhaling. Then I’m back to cigs.

This is exactly when I put snuff on my pipe tobacco. If I run out of good stuff and all I have left laying around is the stuff I don’t really like I will “enhance” it with some kind of snuff I think might make it taste better. I have found that Babaton Blue works great for enhancing and cooling tobaccos that smoke bitter or hot.

I tried putting Square Scotch snuff on a bowl of Sir Walter Raleigh original burley and I did notice a pretty big nicotine boost but as for the flavor, I prefer at least that particular pipe and snuff blend by taking each on their own and not mixing the two in the pipe. Maybe some different combinations would be better, I will try again with something else in the future.

Dokha is my favorite pipe sprinkle. Tobacco makes a natural filter . I can finally handle the smoke from the dokha without coughing out a lung. Ah the small pleasures of tobacco. I think I will try some Toque rustica course for some head swimming action @-)

Smoking… Even a pipe? Yuck. Sorry. Tobacco should never be burned. Ewwwwwww.

Doesn’t snuff become pipe tobacco by definition if you smoke it in a pipe?
