Watching the news, its all about d-day. Why do these idiots keep reminding themselves and others about what happened a long time ago? Its not therapy, its not griup therapy, so what the hell are they doing, other than ganging up and reinforcing their hate for Germany and germans? I understand that theyre angry, but if they wanna recreate the events they could just call for a few german bombers…just joking!! But ya, ok, so theyre angry, mad at todays Germany who wants nothing to do about it, germans who were never there. Hows it in your countries? Lots of anti-Germany propaganda? If youre German here, youre gonna feel it. Once I was visitin my granny up north. Up north here they REALLY hate germans. Needless to say it was a quite lonely summer with people avoiding us… I saw the humor in it though, and like any other teenager would have done, I gave them what they wanted. A “HEIL HITLER!”. Anyone else finding themselves in a country, loving to hate and glorifying itself? And how is it there?
@lunecat nono, the way they put things on tv, the magazines etc, thats the anti-german propaganda.
@Rogue I have to say that is the most ridiculous thing i have have read on this site in a long time. The services going on today are to commemorate D Day, not to foster hate for Germany. Today is a day to remember all those who served, and especially those that did not come home. To say that today is about being anti-German and against modern Germany is stupid. Case in point, the joint US / German memorial that took place yesturday. When people talk about the fight against Germany, they are refering to the historical fight against Nazi Germany. Watch the interviews with the British and American veterans and you will see there is no anti-German feeling there, “they were boys just like us”. Get your facts straight and if you feel the need to rant, don’t do it on a Snuff Forum, it is really not the place.
Also, If you really did ‘give a heil hitler’ (I refuse to capitalise) then you are an utter burk with no idea about history or historiological impact. Edit: Also, D-Day does not mark the end of The Second World War, that would be VE Day 8th May 1945 (Europe) or VJ Day 15 August / 02 September 1945 (Far East). D-Day is the beginning of Operation of Overlord, the invasion of mainland Europe from landings in Normandy.
We beat the Hun— get over it… Cheers to the memory(-ies) of all the brave Yanks, Brits and dare I say, FROGS who done them in-- good job boys–
X( anyone “heiling hitler” in this neck o’ the woods will take a right good smack-- my great uncles all fought and died in WWII - 3 of them, mate— and my Grand was crippled at Battle of the Bulge. Yellow card on your posting… @lunecat why not just go ahead and close it-- I don’t appreciate hearing such during the Anniversary an all that. NO ONE HERE hates “Germans” — it’s Nazis what I hate-- and I’m whiter than snow and no, not one drop of Jewish blood either as I’m sure that’s how you’d follow up… and further, don’t really care about issues that most do when it comes to Hitler-- but show some respect for those who died-- heiling Hitler won’t win you many friends ANYWHERE, mate.
First of all Id like to say that Im only responsible for what I say, not what you think I say or wish Id say. Its also nice to see how many people got the questions, Im even shocked to see what theyre showing you on the telly, or talking about in documentaries.

Why would they show british and american interviews on TV here? What they focus the most on would be the support from my country who were never there…the ones who fled and were hailed as if they were heroes (lots of the milorg guys), and generally how bad germans are.

fair play mate-- guess we’ll just have to agree to disagree on this one. good luck in your quest for tolerance.
Might be worth adding mate that MOST of the anti-Nazi Germany caterwauling comes from GERMANY— eh? I am just offended by the fact that you act like all non-German media is “picking” on Germany for having gotten their arses handed to them in WWII-- the GERMAN media is MOST hateful toward your nation mate… More especially in regard to NSDAP Germany.
I take it Rogue is in Germany? Where is the good General located? This thread made my blood pressure go through the roof, motivated me to kick the cat, say nasty things to my Doberman Pinscher and Rottweiler and put me off my curry wurst. This forum is about snuff and tobacco, not politics, religion or various & sundry controversial topics. Going down on your girlfriend with a lip full of snus is not considered controversial or sensitive. It’s a damn good idea.
Can we get this shut down please Mods? This topic is against the rules and the guy is pissing everyone off, I have no time for idiots.
The way I see it here in the UK is that it’s about having pride in those who saved fought off the Nazis and survived, and remembering the sad loss of those who died while doing it. My dad didn’t fight, he wanted to join the services but was sent down the mines as a Bevin Boy (and if you think that was an easy option google the phrase and see how they were treated). He died in 2005 but I know if he and my mum were around today they’d be feeling not hatred for the Germans, but pride in what Britain and the allies achieved.
