Just taken delivery of a stunningly good 250g drum of SG Black Coffee - temptation has just produced an “out of this world” liqueur coffee: Sam Gawith Black Coffee and Fribourg & Treyer’s Old Paris. This is a mix I will be making on my snuffing hand again!

In bold made me think he was referring to temptation snuff, and i thought the thread would be about WOW! snuff originally…

J

Isn’t this thread the same as the what are you mixing thread?

T

I think this thread is for mixes that worked out really well.

E

I think this thread is for mixes that worked out really well.

(With mod hat on) Yes, that makes sense, and use the other thread for the current mix, good or bad.

D

A mix of certain snuffs might be good to one person and not so good to another. Just my opinion but I think snuff mixes good or bad should go onto one thread. To keep things in one place.

J

What about a thread for mixes I’m thinking about doing but would like to get an opinion on before I try it? Just trying to bust balls here. Carry on as you were my friends.

WOW now we’re even “mixing” our threads We’re bustin balls now right?

My question is, “where did you get the black coffee?” Mr. Snuff indicated to me that they were unable to procure my bulk order after 6 weeks.

S

Question from an inexperienced mixer: I’m looking for something with strong flavour, but also with a strong nicotine kick. Menthol, mint and the like is my main thing. My initial thought is to use Toque Quit as probably 50%, and then for the other half use something strong-tasting like Wilsons SM Blue. Given my brief, is this likely to be successful? Is the Quit not going to have too strong a taste for this purpose? Of course one could always adjust the ratios.

S

So you can see that Toque ‘Menthol’ is the same as ‘Quit’ - maybe you could just use that & then no need to make up a mix ?!?!?

Surprising, given that it is marketed specifically as being heavy on nicotine, but yes - that it would of course make sense to just go for Toque menthol if that really is as strong as stated (providing it’s also a decent menthol hit).

N

@Roderick Toque Menthol uses the Quit base? I always thought it used the regular base.

X

no way Menthol has Quit as the base. Spanish Gem and SP Extra I think do. The rest seem kind of tame.

T

I think that the strength rating was more about the ease of taking the snuff rather than the nicotine.

N

Saying Menthol has the same nic as Quit means only one of two things 1. It uses the same base tobacco 2. Roderick is somehow adding nicotine to Menthol to make it as strong as Quit.

J

I think that list was explained somewhat in a previous post.

S

… (providing it’s also a decent menthol hit).

Oh yes, especially for you (how I suffer) - I fetched out my Toque ‘Menthol’ & just now had a spoonful up each nostril & I’d say it is pretty well menthol-ated (is that a word?). I also thought that you could use Toque ‘Menthol’ as a, maybe 70-80%, base mix and then add your own favourite menthol on top. But sure to say the Toque one is worth adding to your collection & give it a go…

Thanks for the info - oh, and sorry for your ‘ordeal’! Haven’t tried many menthols yet, but Wilsons’ Extra Menthol certainly delivers a good menthol whack, and I think it would be even better blended with a strong peppermint. Olbas oil in snuff form!

50/50 mix of Toque Coke & Fubar Shot of Rum…RUM N COKE … Nice try some :ar! Captain Morgan :ar!

_

ARRRGGG… Just realized I used 50/50 of BLAST GIN & TONIC by mistake instead of the SHOT OF RUM…egads… Was still tasty… Will try the above mentioned mix soon and repost

Working on a batch of Toque Quit and T Bourbon, The Bourbon was a little moist the quit a little dry. they mix real well.

B

@snuffski mix in small two or three dose samples. if it turns out, mix a larger batch. Easy to adjust ratios

S

That’s basically what I’ve been doing, with a satisfactory degree of success. It’s good fun.

My Smoking Shop. Usually reckon on getting drums of SG within 3-5 working days - actually had my 250g in stock. Next-day delivery, immaculately fresh, resonable price. HTH

Strong medicated/menthol with a brain-numbing nicotine hit? Try McChrystal’s JIP

B-)

S

Thanks - I’ll give it a whirl. It is a similar grind and moisture to the main McChrystal’s range?

F

Yes. In terms of strength (nicotine and medication): Ultimate “kill or cure” extreme cold or hangover snuff.

S

Superb - sounds just the ticket. I was put off by the somewhat garish styling of that particular product, generally preferring the more traditional look of other snuffs, but I guess you can’t just judge a book by it’s cover.

F

@fbones24 My Smoking Shop is currently showing both 250g and 500g tubs of SG BC as “in stock”.
