WOW!! Ice melt

The map at the bottom of the webpage shows the extent of this unbelievable event! http://www.space.com/16746-record-greenland-ice-melt.html

Yes, I read the news from NASA today: http://science.nasa.gov/science-news/science-at-nasa/2012/24jul\_greenland/ Very sad and ominous development. I had feared this would happen this summer.

and people are still denying that there could be any problem despite the fact that there has been obeservable change since the industrial age.

This is a justification to hoard more tobacco, right?

who knows if they’ll even be able to grow the stuff. You just reminded me of how when I think of apocalyptic scenes what scares me the most is running out of tobacco.

@Mr. Nose - Hoarding tobacco would be my first instinct!

At the very least hoard seeds and buy a grow light. Can’t run out!

@MR.Nose Reminds me of when I was taking Chantix to quit smoking. I grew paranoid and stocked 500 lbs of flour couple hundred lbs of other dry goods including rice, about a hundred cans of corned beef, cases of Spam, ham, fruits and vegetables and was ready for the end of the Earth. I stopped taking the Chantix and asked my wife why the hell she didn’t stop me. Answer…she was afraid of me.

I thought this was a discussion about some new menthol snuff by Wow.

Extinctions and climate changes have been occurring for millions of years, long before man or an industrial machine was created. It really gives me a lot of pain, worrying about all those folks that might loose beach front property! With that said, I do believe that burning fuel to make energy is not in our best long term interest, but as it stands now, all of our economies depends on it. Most reports that I’ve read say that if we quit burning hydrocarbons today, it’s already too late! So why worry? @TomStrasbourg, I did too, only thought was a review on a new Wilson’s snuff…and it was WOW!

@hooked… at least Wilsons of Sharrow and de Kranlingse have alternative ways of grinding their snuff (water and wind)

I buy one three pound bag of rice about once a month. It cost me about $1.69. I have been doing this for about three years and i’am sitting on quite a pile. I figure if stuff goes crazy, me and mine will be hungry, but not starving. For under two dollars a month, i have some peace of mind.
