I’ve been working my way through some WoS Menthols and thought I’d put my thoughts down here. So far I’ve tried…

WoS M. Very clean pure menthol on the standard WoS flour. Very easy to take. The menthol is the perfect level for me but the lack of additional flavours means the scent fades quickly.

WoS Super M. Lots more going on in this one! I’m not very good at identifying the ‘medicinal scents’ but I guess I’m getting a fair bit of camphor? Quite sweet with a great lingering aroma. Unfortunately it gets my nose running too much to take in great quantities.

WoS Extra M. Sort of in the middle of the previous two. A bit more complex than M. but not as much going on as Super M. I could take or leave this one I think. There is a nice lingering scent and perhaps a little more tobacco flavour shining through.

WoS Bee M. I have used tonnes of this stuff. For a few years it was the only snuff I used. Sweet with a good menthol kick. Easy to take and doesn’t cause my nose to run too much.

I’ll add to the thread as I try more.

WoS S.M. This is a bit nothingy… Reasonable menthol level and little eucalyptus. Drier than Super M or Extra M. Not bad but quite middle of the road. I think I’d skip this and go for WoS Menthol if I want something simple and go for Super M for something more complex.

Edit: It’s growing on me!

WoS Dynamite is definitely worth a sniff. The snuff is dark, soft and moist and the menthol comes on gradually and hangs around longer than my two other faves, Hedges and Jip!. II’s becoming a real favourite.

WoS Dynamite - Wow! Totally unexpected. If memory serves, this is the same base as best dark with a good bit of menthol but nothing too crazy. Nice and fresh so has a subtle hint of ammonia. Decent nic hit. Not too nose runny, yet.

Barnyardy, complex… Like an incredibly toned down NTSU Menthol.

I wish they hadn’t called this dynamite, I swerved it for years because I thought it would be a menthol heavy gimmick.

Edit: this doesn’t fit my snuff consumption style. I like to work through a tin rather than have a rotation but this is too much for that. The grind irritated my nose too much, not runny, just needing to blow it.

Singleton’s Super M. - this is a WoS snuff. Similar to Dynamite but the menthol is toned down and there are a few other medicinals. The grind is like a mix of dynamite and something finer. I think I prefer it to Dynamite but it’s not going to be a daily snuff for the same reasons as dynamite. It irritated my nose too much.

WoS Matador - This is great. Drier and slightly coarser and than WoS Menthol but nothing like dynamite. The menthol is delicate with other scents. Hints of SP. Could be a new all day snuff for me!
