WoS irish high toast no 22

well even though my nose is messed up ill try to review this. out of the tin it smells a lot like a scotch with  leathery  tarmac smell after the smokieness  fades

its fine ground but pretty moist. its quite moist for a toast. i would put the nicotine at medium to medium high. its easy to take at least i think it is. i would really enjoy this if i could smell it more but what can ya do 3.5 out of 5 oe being terrible 5 being snuff heaven

If I remember correctly this is one that takes a while before you get the full flavor. Give yourself a few weeks or a month at least and if you are alternating with other snuffs you’ll need longer. Some age on the tin also helps. Most if not all Wilsons from the mill are very fresh and need significant drying to be at their best.

After you sensitize yourself to its delicacies I believe you will pick up smoked meat essence.

I think the 22 is fantastic but it’s subtle as a toast should be. I agree with the above. Give it time and it could really grow on you. That one and F&T High Dry Toast are my two go to snuffs with a permanent place on my desk. If I could only choose one to take to limbo or the cave or a desert island or whatever, I’d have a tough time deciding between those two. Definetely a 5 for me. Snuff heaven.

i do love its smell aleast what little i get from it. its definitey going on my re orde list

I just got this a couple of days ago.  F&T HDT was my favorite, but this just one just has a little something extra that makes this an ideal toast for me.  Buttery, biscuity, toasty…it’s just so nice.  I want to fill a sandbox with this stuff and just hang out in it.

lol

it smells like a scotch to me thats all i know

I glad to see you found a snuff to enjoy. I employ one toast at least daily in my rotation.F&T HDT is my go to but WoS No 22 is nice also

That’s strange to me jeffcraft1, I don’t get a scotch smell at all.  I hope it’s just a difference in opinion and not a difference in snuff!

there is a smokieness to it also is toques rustica any good?

@jeffcraft1, my take on Toque Rustica is that it is fine, dry, and has an earthy smell - like foliage.  I don’t particularly like taking it solo, but I do from time to time for a strong pinch.  I have some nice snuffs that I tend to pass up due to low nicotine content, so it’s nice to have rustica to add to these.  I like mixing it with Viking Blonde and SG Cherry to name a couple.

its a shame they only sell it in 50g bags
