WoS Camphor and Mild

This is by far the best snuff for a cold and opens up the sinuses and it won’t singe your nose hairs off like other menthol and/or mint flavored  snuffs such as Crumbs of Comfort.  The tobacco is ground very fine and will go straight to the back of your throat very easily.  Moisture level is medium and the nic hit is acceptable.  The taste, oh the taste.  It is like a, hold on a minute I need to sniff some right now, a very mild menthol with a earthy bottom note that rounds out the snuff.  Blowing out is also not unpleasant, it brings the flavor out for a limited time.  I have yet to experience any throat drip or drip coming out the nose.  A good 4/5 snuff.  Hope this helps as this is my first review.

Sorry to resurrect an old thread here, but it’s better than starting a new one I guess. I find it a somewhat fine grind with medium moisture. Fresh out of the tin the ammonia was overwhelming and took a while to dissipate. Not to worry. I get some kind of citrus. My abilities to single out specific scents and flavors are not that refined, but for me, I certainly get some kind of citrus. The main peculiarity for me is that my left nostril is clear as a bell a minute or two after snuffing, but the right gets all plugged up. Also, the one time it went waaaay too deep I couldn’t breathe through my nose for two or three hours. I love this snuff, but it only half-loves me? Worth the temporary mild discomfort as I usually completely clear up within ten or fifteen minutes. This snuff has put me on a citrus kick though. WoS Lemon Toast and Irish DH 20… Now to explore some more SPs… Tom Buck? Would F&T Seville qualify? Or is it more floral that citrus? I guess I’ll find out soon enough. :-"

Seville is definitely more floral than citrus. Its scent just happens to come from a citrus flower.

@smreno77 simple solution, only snuff Camphor and Mild with the left side and take it easy

I like C&M, flow good from a bullet and is very refreshing and easy to take.

Thank you for the input gents. Quality insight from established and respected members of a community is often hard to come by and is much appreciated. The world of snuff presents a myriad of choices and it can get a little overwhelming as to the whats, whys, hows, whos, and whens… Still intrigued by Seville nonetheless, and I shall give it a go on my next order.

Go for it! Seville is one of my all time favorites. Its a love or hate thing with most snuffers though. Hopefully you find yourself in the love camp.

I hated Seville as a newbie then several months later took a pinch and fell in love with it.

I’ve had a 10g tin of WoS Camphor and Mild stored in its own jar for a couple of weeks now but have put off trying it thinking that it might be too pungent for this newbie.  The favorable comments on this site encouraged me to give it a try, and I was really pleasantly surprised at how easy it is to use over and over.  The camphor is not overpowering, and there is a nice citrus scent that balances the flavors nicely.  I find this blend very soothing and can use more of it at a time than some of the drier, finer WoS blends.  Although there’s no menthol in Camphor and Mild, it definitely opens up the passageways and doesn’t seem to fire up the nasal drip much at all.  A definite keeper.

Yet another to add to the wishlist. I enjoy the subtlety of Toque Camphor & Clove, and by your descriptions, this sounds like a more citrusy alternative.

Here’s my old review from snuffreviews:

At first I was really impressed by the old-timey flavor. But this doesn’t age well, after it dries it becomes very similar to
an SP, which I don’t care for. For camphor, since I’m a menthol fan, make mine S. M. Blue.

I would say if you want to try it get a medium tin unless you plan on going through it fast.

Tried this for the first time this morning. VERY impressed, and can see myself getting through it pretty fast. The camphor keeps my nose clear much more effectively than menthol i.e. for much longer, yet feels much more subtle in aroma. Thanks for the recommendation.
