I’m a big fan of Best SP and I’ve been given a little bit of Toque Original to try. I’m liking it and to me it’s quite similar. I think it might have a slightly higher nicotine content, and it doesn’t quite have the lingering finish that I love so much about Best SP but it’s very good stuff I reckon.
If you want best SP with a bigger kick, then Tom Buck is the one to go for.
Thanks Skell, I’m not sure I need a bigger kick, at least not normally. But it might come in handy on a night on the sauce.
I have just tried the Toque SP Extra, I enjoy that, how does the flavour and grind compare to some of the other SPs ?
In my experience, the grind is pretty similar to the WoS offerings and also to SP No1. However, the flavour is much heavier on the bergamot than any others I can think of. I tend to use Toque SP Extra to boost the bergamot in other SPs.
Toque SP Extra also has lavender in it (to me anyway), best SP out there IMO even if it does have a habit of hitting the back of my throat.

The first time I drank Earl Grey Tea I was 100% sure it was lavender but, we all know that to be a lie. The Bergamot seems to have almost the exact same flavor and, smell of Lavender! Coriander I belive is pretty close to my senses as well. At least I think it was Coriander. I was pretty drunk and, got a beer with what seem’d like Lavender and, the owner corrected me saying it was Coriander. At least I think he said Coriander.
The only SPs I’ve ever tried are Abraxas St.Casura and Toque SP Extra. For the life of me, I can’t see what the two have in common. If they are both SPs, then I’ve got no idea what an SP is. I guess there’s something citrusy in both of them, but everything else seems different. I do really like the Toque SP Extra. Brilliant snuff. I think it’s the only Toque I’ll buy in the near future, but I might get it in bulk. Comparing the two, I’d say that while St.Casura is more intriguing and complex, the Toque is more comforting and easier to be with.
About finished my Toque SP extra today, really enjoyed it, I was thinking of ordering up the WoS best SP to try next. Seems to have been about a long time and regarded as a good SP?.. The Toque seems to have just about the right amount of Bergamot for me, I would not want it any stronger though. Decisions Decisions 
FWIW I think Toque SP Extra packs the biggest bergamot punch of any SP I have tried. The Wilsons offerings can have more scent in absolute terms, but there is much more going on along with the bergamot, if you see what I mean. If you have been enjoying the SP Extra then I would suggest you go for Tom Buck rather than Best SP - or better yet try both, and add SP100 into the order as well!
I feel one of the custom 6 tin packs of small tins coming on to try all their SP range ?
SP is a very broad category - there is really no agreed definition . My interpretation is that an SP must be of medium grind and have one of the citrus fruits somewhere in the flavouring. Of course the usual citrus note is bergamot which would give the classic SP flavour. I will make a completely standard SP at some point just to prove I can make something that people recognise:)
And if Carlsberg made an SP…
