I’ve been taking Wilson of Sharrow’s Best dark for a couple of weeks now and i’ve come to the conclusion that it is the finest snuff i’ve ever had. I just work’s on every level. Good nicotine, not clogging but clearing (no rebound), easy to take, doesn’t go to far up and of course the most devine scent. We all have our own tastes, but for me, i believe i have finally found my desert island snuff. Now i just have to wait for my bulk container to arrive…

Unfortunatelly my Best Dark dried out after three weeks and it looks like black sand now. That consistence annoys my nostrils. Conclusion? Never let snuff last more than two weeks.

@mouse et al. For those of you who have it in bulk i assume it stores just fine long term in mason jars despite it’s relative high moisture? I would like two kilo jars to rotate, as one is finished switch to the other and replenish the empty one. I’m guessing it would need to be able to last 3-5years.

Though I don’t know this snuff in bulk, per se, the bulk is sold in one of either way: the half pounder is your best bet, or two if you prefer (they are actually two hundred and sixty grams - or so I infer.) The one pound drum, though more economically priced, has an inferior lid design, I think I should advise. Decant these if you can to another jar or three. Otherwise the snuff will dry and leave only misery. For your requirement of a kilo, at least two you’ll need, rather. As they are four hundred fifty grams each so I gather.

Thank you @Xander for this information. I have a 260g tub on the way. I haven’t any Wilson’s in bulk so it shall be interesting to see their containers.

I mixed my Best Dark with the remainder of my Brunswick, and together I like the mix better that straight BD, which I find too mild. Now it has more of a bite to it. I find them very similar and when mixed, blend perfectly into a very nice snuff suitable to replace either of the original components.
