Wintergreen Snuff?

I have always wondered why Wintergreen which is without a doubt probably the most popular flavor for american oral snuff has not been used by any of the nasal snuff makers. I myself as a longtime user of Kodiak Wintergreen Chew would be ecstatic to try a Wintergreen flavored snuff. Maybe I’ll try to create my own by picking an unscented snuff and using something wintergreen flavored to scent it. Maybe as easy as putting a few Wintergreen Altoids in a container with some latakia Ao1860 and letting it set for a few days would do the trick? Either way, I still wonder why no snuff company has bothered to make a Wintergreen flavored snuff.

I think Wintergreen can be irritating in the nose.?? I don’t know for sure. Maybe you can also throw a stick of wintergreen gum in your snuff. Or put the snuff directly into a freshly emptied altoid tin? The tins hold scent for a while.

I’ve wondered the same thing myself Poo-Diddy. I love wintergreen almost as much as spearmint. Man I just can’t get sick of spearmint.

I know this is a dead thread but I have wintergreen in my nose right now and looked it up so i wound up here. My Chinese herbalist gave me a nice wintergreen/menthol oil to help me breath, so of course I mixed it into my snuff on the spot. He didn’t bat an eyelash and seemed to approve as he watched me take a pinch and sniff.

WOS Crumbs of Comfort is wintergreen, and their Prime minister is a mixture of an assortment of Menthol like stuff with the predominant flavour being wintergreen.

Checkerberry is a fantastic wintergreen snuff. I like it in the winters especially.

I’ll also mention Checkerberry as a fantastic wintergreen snuff.

No, Prime Minister and Crumbs of Comfiort are spearmint, not wintergreen, but PM packs a good kick! Checkerberry is closest to wintergreen as they come, bt there are no true wintergreen snuffs. Sea Breezes has a touch in it but it has a lot of other things too. Tom sells wintergreen essential oil if you want to make your own, or you can go to your Chinese herbalist if you have one. I think I want to be an herbalist…

I think Sam Gawith golden glow has wintergreen in it.

@Xander: You are right. I am getting so old I have these major senior moments. Some of them last for days.
