I picked up a box of these during the half price sale. I have traded quite a few, and that is exactly what I wanted them for. I think that the Silver is notable for what it does not have, it is a basic SP, very fine grind, close to a SS, but with muted citrus. It is what I would consider an all day snuff. They toned this one down and not up, although the bergamot is good, close to a finer ground Best SP, way easy to take. The fine grind makes for an interesting hit, but I do not detect any real burn. My can is still a little bit ammonia, and very moist, will be a while before it airs all the way out. I am sure the other notes in the snuff will come out, fresh from the mill snuff can play hide and seek with the senses. I am convinced it is a result of the moist character, it mutes sharpness. I thought there was something wrong with my tub of Mild Lemon when sampled fresh, lemon was way muted, but 4 days later it starts to get some authority! I was real curious as this one, since it is only sold by the box. It has it’s own unique flavor.
Its a good one, for sure. I love it.
Hey thanks Whalen for the review. I have not heard much about this one and so was curious what you thought about it. It seems natural that if you have Best SP and Best Dark that Best Silver is going to be the more reserved (lighter) of the three
It’s no Gold Label, but it’s good, yes. lol
I am really impressed with my Gold Label, What a great one! Love it.
Yea I got a tin of the gold coming my way due to all the noise you chaps have been making here of late…lets hope it’s not the dusty kind :>)
