Wilsons of Sharrow small tins

Does anyone know how many grams of snuff the WoS ‘small tins’ have? I just purchased a gift pack of Wilsons of Sharrow 6 ‘small tins’ from the local tobacconists, but it doesn’t say how many grams of snuff each tin contains. Does anyone know? I’m guessing it’s 5 grams for small, 10 for medium, 25 for large, that seems to be the standard thing, but it doesn’t seem to say so anywhere, not even on the WoS website. (In case anyone’s interested, they’re Vanilla Ice, Menthol Plus, Prime Minister, Ice Liquorice, Irish Toast no22, and Strawberry)!

I’m not sure, but I too think it’s just plain weird that they don’t have the weights printed on them. Offhand, I can’t think of any other packaged goods that don’t have a weight or quantity stated on the packaging.

5g, 10g and 25g in theory but tins are filled by volume so tins of more moist snuffs are heavier.

I believe @AllanH is bang-on with that assessment. Having said that, I always find WoS Toasts and fine snuffs spill everywhere upon opening due to being so full, whereas the heavier Best Dark and Brunswick seem to be more conservatively filled and about level with the tin rim.

@Jinder That’s good old gravitation at work!

@AllanH I never thought of that! It’s quite obvious, now you mention it.
