No Grand Cairo?

Not possible when you have it all! I don’t consider it an SP even though Wilsons does. I think the flavoring is too complex, and SPs should be simple. I think of it (and a few others) as an expansion on the SP ideas. I do like it better than the SPs though.
I also think of Grand Cairo as an expansion on the basic SP recipe rather than being an SP itself, for the complexity reasons cited above. In terms of complexity, I think Grand Cairo is the…best SP.
What about Best Dark?
A bergamot scented black rappee? Same family as Brunswick & Princes, but perhaps a medium grind instead of course. I know Wilson’s has them all listed as SPs on their website. I think they are not interested in classifcation. They leave that to us. How do you consider it? Might be some rose in that too, I just had it out.
I do consider Best Dark an SP but am happy not to draw such lines of classification.

They still have a page of snuff varieties though many of their snuffs aren’t listed there.

maybe my palate is totally messed up …but J&H Wilson sp No 1…is the best SP i have ever tasted, it beats that bergamot doused tom buck, it beats the weak “best sp” …i think it is the king of the SP’s and nobody else even mentioned it…
maybe my palate needs a going over.

Gold Label from Wilson’s is my favorite SP. Supposed to be Virginia tobacco.

For me Grand Cairo is the best SP. But there is not a bad one Wilson’s make. I would rank my top 5 as. 1 Grand Cairo 2 Tom Buck 3 Gold Label 4 Grove 5 Best SP

the best sp is without a shadow of doubt made by gawith hoggarth…
gawith hoggarth sp …buy 10 tins…you will not be dissappointed…
since trying this …my tom buck and bset sp have gone to the back of the drawer…
they are just novelty snuffs now
gawith hoggarth sp is one of my core snuffs and the only sp i bother with now.

@eblip no need to limit yourself to just one! Have you had Toque Original & SP Extra, SD Original, JHW Top Mill, Jaxon SP and WoS SP100? There are many SPs out there and while G&H’s is one of my favorites, I like variety in snuff (and hoarding way too much of it)
