I just re-registered. Not sure if logins are being ported over and I should have waited. I guess we’ll see!

I am suspecting the old logins may not be, or they’d have waited to start encouraging us to move over.

I’m not seeing the like/agree/insightful buttons yet. Hope those will appear soon.

I also re-registered and then shortly afterwards when I visited there was just one page saying that the site was down while the old user database was restored.

So I am presuming that I am still me although none of my old member info such as my inbox are here.

I managed to log on. guess it’s not quite ready,i have to practice patience. Seen rather lonely here, Im heading back to .net 

i found that my original log in is still good here. Nice!

Heads up to the admin team: there might be some bugs with the user data. The comment above by user “wel” was actually made by me. I made if after I had re-registered here on Wednesday. I had left this tab open in my browser since then and when I refreshed the page this morning I was logged in as “wel”. I’ve signed out and logged in again so we’ll see what happens. 

@crullers the reason is because you re-registered. When we added in the original user database you were re-assigned your original UserId. Your new user id was overwritten by whoever had that UserID in the original database. This means any new post was credited to the original holder of that UserID, ie “Wel”.

However any future posts will be credited to you and in addition ALL your past posts will now be credited to you. Minor bug that only affected people who re-registered.

Phew! Finally!  Thought I was in some kind of kafka-esque nightmare going round and round.  Good to be back and see people arriving.

So what actually happened then?

Are there 2 forums now or is this it? - my old login worked but the contacts I was saving in my mailbox have all gone which is a bit of a bummer.

Good to be here, looks like I missed the final save by a week of two, no big loss…

@Ubert  There was a problem with the hosting company of the original site that had been running for years and it went offline.

@cstokes heroically stepped in and set up a temporary forum at snuffhouse.net and that kept us all together.

Now the @MrSnuff team have got this site up and running using the same forum software as the original SnuufHouse and having retrieved and saved many years of information and posts from the old site.

So this is it and long may it continue.

I’m back like a vertabre. I was on the old sunffhouse years ago…like pre PACT days (The Nose Knows) but dropped out of the hobby for awhile when PACT killed my joy. However I’m now back in the game with a vengence. I just couldn’t stay away, ya know??
