Who Are Your Favorite Snuff Reviewers/Promoters/Commentators On Youtube.

I hope that this discussion is not too derivative of any past discussions and that I am putting into the correct category. That being said, who on youtube is/are your favorite Reviewer(s),Promoter(s), and Snuff Commentator(s). Which individuals do you feel are putting up the highest quality videos and are doing the world of snuff tobacco the most justice. Feel free to expound in detail about your selection(s) for this thread.

Skell18 = :wink: Uncle squinty = :)>- MaskedHedonist = :open_mouth: STOP THE DRUGS!!! Updated

Tony Snuff: I feel as if his videos are great for breaking in someone who is new to snuff. Not some much from a technical standpoint, but rather his reviews are entertaining and have a very fun and humorous vibe to them. Paul Shallbetter: He has a great deal of knowledge and insight into snuff tobacco. I have learned some storage tips from him and would say that all around he is in my opinion one of the best out there. JoeSnuffer: Very straight forward and to the point, in a good way. His video on FUBAR SNAFU is what made me decide to purchase some. Really enjoy his videos. Glynn Quelch: This guy is an absolute tobaccophile, very cool videos. While he seems to be mostly focused on pipe smoking, I still like his snuff videos. He seems to have decent amount of knowledge and insight into English Snuffs. Skell18: All around great smokeless tobacco videos, keep them coming! There are still a lot of reviewers, promoters, etc. that I have yet to watch, however, these are my current favorites, I will keep exploring more snuff videos on youtube.

Uncle Squinty, Snuff Begins, Joe Snuffer and Glynn Quelch.

@mjohns I forgot about Snuff Begins, he also puts out some great material.

Damn it, I forgot Tobaccy Lassy.

I’ll have to go with Pall Shallbetter, simply because his reviews lead me to Abraxas Cafe 11, my True Love. I love Tony Snuff’s reviews too. He’s fun to watch and I have found some great snuffs based on his recommendations. Shout outs also to JoeSnuffer and MrMichaelSnuff. I wonder where he is…

  1. MrMichaelSnuff http://www.youtube.com/channel/UCJx71YPxX7T6cbiEjiAaR0Q A young Canadian guy who gives non-pretentious but not lowbrow reviews, sadly he hasn’t posted anything for several months. 2. TobaccyLassy http://www.youtube.com/channel/UCy5y6VmFx806-CrD1LAlNeg An ardent tobaccophile from the USA Pacific Northwest, who seems to lead an interesting life. I’ve learned some helpful techniques from her. 3.Tony Snuff http://www.youtube.com/channel/UCVU-urCNd7PvhwH7jw9TkvQ A Southern (USA) fellow who can be a bit crass and low brow but also humorous, which is refreshing in the sometimes erudite world of snuff, very prolific reviewer.

@mjohns I forgot about Snuff Begins, he also puts out some great material.

Yes he does. He’s my favorite after Uncle Squinty.

I forgot about Snuff Begins too. Yes, his videos are also quite insightful.

Damn it, I forgot Tobaccy Lassy.

I forgot about her too. Haven’t seen any new videos from her in a while.

Joesnuffer is always amusing and does good reviews, too bad he’s not super active right now. Mr Michael Snuff is another good one, and I like Uncle Squinty.

The only ones I’ve seen are Tony Snuff and TobaccoLassy but she seems to of moved away from it all onto the E-cigs which is a shame.

Snuff begins are my favourite i think.

Paul Shallbetter aka Uncle Squinty youtube.com/channel/UCmJm-qVnOdumdJOnI0_lYfw The youtube video & gentleman that got me started into snuff, The Englishman Smokes, and I wish he did more snuff reviews! youtube.com/watch?v=DukYPNmlcGs

Tim Geering (milverton68) and his buddy going into their local and having some snuff and “proper beer” was always fun to watch. He seems to do mostly pipe reviews now and doesn’t post as much as he used to. @Skell18 does excellent smokeless reviews which I look forward to.

Paul Shallbetter aka Uncle Squintly. The guy is hilarious and he does some really informative reviews. I think I’d like to get drunk with him. I believe he used to post here, but the new forum software caused a problem for him (he’s blind, and his reading software doesn’t work on the forum). Having said that, I haven’t seen a regular snuff reviewer that I didn’t like, there are some real gems out there. @Tobaccylassy is another favorite.

@doctorbeat Glad to know that Uncle Squinty is a well liked commentator. So far on this thread he has been a popular youtube snuff reviewer. If I had to pick one snuff reviewer as a favorite it would be him. I really have learned a lot from his reviews and find his reviews tend to be detailed.

Snuff begins uncle squinty

I like Paul Shallbetter/Uncle Squinty as well. It is my belief that he is particularly sensitive to nuances and complexities in many snuffs and is good at articulating those. I don’t know for sure, but it is possible that his being blind may help with this. But regardless of why, he really is a good reviewer, in my opinion. Having said that, it is important to be able to read between the lines of any tobacco or wine reviewer. One needs to know the likes/dislikes or inclinations/avoidances of a reviewer and then compare those to one’s own in order to get a reasonable sense of whether oneself would like the product reviewed. I think it is obvious that I (or anyone) am yet to encounter a reviewer of wine, pipe tobacco, or snuff, whose tastes are a perfect match for my own, of course. I believe we have to adjust our knowledge of the reviewer to our own understanding, tastes, and mental framework, so that we can more fully understand the content and the context of the review.
