OK, I have a couple of tins on the way. Yes, it is expensive but it could be the best snuff on earth so I need to try it to find out. I bought an xtra tin so I can send out a couple of samples to anyone that might be interested. That way you don’t have to spend a ton of $ to try it out. I can’t afford to give samples away tho. I wish I could…but sample will be my cost and postage. So hang in there and I will let you peeps know when I get it and how I like it. At that time if anyone is interested they can contact me. Ok heres the deal. I got the White Elephant snuff from the seller on ebay. After I had a friend of mine in the UK contact him we were able to get him to ship to the UK. Then my friend is shipping the snuff to me. Yes, it is costing me about $35 usd for each tin to get this snuff. For the samples I will charge just a bit over what the snuff costs me and to ship it to you. I’m probably going to keep one tin for myself…unless its just gawd awful. If you ant a full tin and you live anywhere but the USA, The seller will probably ship directly to you. The seller is very nice and has good communication but is wary of shipping to the usa because of PACT and the rumors surrounding PACT. This is an ebay sale so there is no fear on my end of getting ripped off but on the same token he wants to make sure I actually recieve the package so he keeps his good feedback. He won’t ship to the USA directly. It works out to be less than $30 usd buying from ebay. I have to send my friend an xtra $6 so he can buy a tin of Skruf for himself as payment. Was fair to me. That Dolson person that responded earlier in the thread wanted alot more $ and wanted me to send it Western Union. Although that person seemed legit. I think it’s rarity and high price, is making us suspect(and hope) it’s the be all end all. I think it won’t be, of course I am curious. I’d rather have some Arora snuffs, and UMA snuffs myself.
Its supposed to be on the order of the D White. So far thats my favorite so I should probably like this snuff. Either way, I love to try different snuffs. Some I like others I don’t. but you never know if you’ve hit the holy grail unless you try it. But selling a few samples makes it alot easier for someone to try it. Better a couple of dollars with shipping for a sample than $35 for a freakin tin just to try it out. see…there are some advantages to having more money than brains…lol
Apparently are are both from india. but they are not the same according to a snuff manufacturer that frequents this site. FYI, I was highly motivated to get this particular snuff for several reasons. Not only to try it but because the wife and I collect all things elephant. Sculptures, plates, mugs, political figurines, etc. With 1600 pieces in the collection the high cost of this snuff was of little concern for me considering the rarity of the collectable snuff and tin in this country. With that said…I’ll probably hate the snuff itself but will always cherish the tin. lord, it seems I’ve been posting more on this site lately than I have on the tobacco site that I mod. shhh…please don’t tell on me.
