So I recently tried W.E for the first time… first off the plastic seal was a right pain to get off but I got there in the end with aid of a sharp blade. it was actually easier to take than I was expecting nowhere near as hard a Willie Pete. it is strong!! the nic hits straight away and sent my heart racing (which I quiet like) I don’t get any scent? !!! the last point is what is bothering me, i can appricate the subtle scent of Viking Blonde but cant get enough in this to label it good or bad. what scent does every one else get?
@bfg84 I’ve yet to climb on the Indian bus. I recently became a convert to Madras snuff after years of my own ignorance and ignoring great products. NB Madras is now a staple. The mainstream Indian snuffs hit me with too much incense and give me flashbacks to the late sixties in Berkeley with all the stoners peddling paraphernalia on Telegraph Avenue, substituting patchouli oil for personal hygiene. The Indian Whites are well made snuffs. Using quality raw materials and an artisan’s touch. I’ve tried several. I don’t like them. So, I don’t indulge them, but I’m very happy for those that enjoy the experience, and hope even more varieties come to market. Hell, maybe I’ll find one I like.
I think most would say that White Elephant has a tobacco, nuttiness, ammonia, and fishy scent to it. At least that’s what I get on a clean well rested nose. It can be hard to decipher after a few hits or following other snuffs as it is subtle.
I don´t know how you take it, but I found out for myself that there is a huge difference between taking it from the back of my hand and pinching. If you don´t do it already, I would recommend try pinching it. To me it changed the experience completely for the better.
I get a buttery, nutty and slightly fishy scent but in a good way. However I find taking it from the back of the hand much easier and nicer than pinching, however everyone is different!
cheers guys, i going to leave it for a while then try it this weekend with a fresh nose!
