The Old Mill Tins have an inert coating inside and out that will deter, not prevent, corrosion and/or rust from salt and moisture. I waited until I had a chance to test that coating a bit; filled a few of each with sea salt, lemon juice and water and stuck them in a zip lock bag. Nothing negative so far. Will keep everyone posted.
Indeed, lunecat, I keep my Princes in them, it’s picked up a nice irony (scent), lol.
I see no one’s mentioned the Brasil Feinst kind of plastic box. I have couple of these empty and they seem ideal to my inexperienced eye - any reason I shouldn’t use them?
^ snuff dries out too quickly in those tapboxes, they’re alright for German oil moistened snuffs but water moistened snuffs have no business being in those horrid things.
Thanks for that, n9inchnails - I take it that it’s the slide panel which provides the escape route rather than around the sides of the inner flange?
I agree @lunecat. WoS tins are junk and should not be used for any snuff new or old. WoS makes some great snuffs, too bad they put that snuff in such trashy tins.
