Which English snuffs do not use those awful Silver Dollar style tap tins?

For whatever reason I do like ordering snuff in plastic tap tins such as Poschl uses but find the Silver Dollar ones to be an insult in every way.

Steer clear of WoS, F&T and J&H W 5 g tap tins.

SG and GH 10 tap boxes are not any better.

Singleton’s Super Menthol Snuff (renamed to Singleton’s Silver, brand now owned by Scandinavian Tobacco), apparently comes in the same nasty plastic/metal tap tins, but it’s oiled, so probably doesn’t suffer much in there:

By the way, I wouldn’t buy McChrystal’s 3.5 g minor (mini) tins even directly from the manufacturer. Just like you nailed, “an insult in every way”.

I wish more of these tap tins were like the Red Bull which is really rightly sealed and yes while that one is hard to dry out I am sure it would benefit other style snuffs. @volunge so the SG Talisman is a no go in their tap variety? It seems like these companies would benefit (repeat sales wise) from the use of the most airtight containers that are not a substantial uptick in cost, I cannot imagine they are saving much on the crap packaging discussed here.

I agree completely. While I love WoS products, I can’t stand their tins. I stick to Viking and Samuel Gawith because they come in great 25g cans that are vacuum sealed, don’t spill every time I open them, and are easy to get the lid on and off once the seal is broken. I like their snuffs too, although I find HDT to be irreplaceable.
