I just took some of my new Grand Cairo and it smells EXACTLY like F&T’s MOROCCO.

What in the WORLD is going on???

It smells nothing like grand cairo???  I can’t smell the tobacco barely at all, and it’s more floral than normal- did they change it up or what??

I don’t like it.

Maybe the tin was mislabeled? I’ve never had this happen though so I really don’t know…  I wanted to order some Grand Cairo too LOL.  It is suppose to smell very similar to Tom Buck, isn’t it…?

bob I gotta say, sometimes I can understand what you’re saying, but other times I have no clue .  I got the first part, but what do you mean by the second? .  Are you trying to say we are all mislabeled snuffs?!?

As for the Case of the F-ed up Grand Cairo …  Really have no clue.  Personally I think it was a tin mislabeling.  Grand Cairo IS suppose to smell similar to Queens or TB isn’t it…?  Someone correct me if I am wrong

Grand Cairo actually NORMALLY sort of reminds me of gold label.

See, it also has this Smokey, RappeeISH scent to it as well, but I’m not getting that AT ALL.

It seriously smells like Morocco.

And I didn’t get them all mixed up or anything.

What sucks, is I had like 3 tins tossed into my mason jar and just got 2 more in the mail and added them to it.  Which I’m beginning to think that was a mistake, but I dunno.  I’m just confused and bummed out.

Does Wilsons ever mislabel their stuff?  I know they’re in charge of the F&T offerings…

Lol, I just wrote to you in another thread about cross contamination of scents between tins.  But I am pretty sure that I’ve swapped lids before, too.  X_X

Yes Wilsons mislabels snuffs as well, I’ve had a tin of Gold Label mislabeled and most recently a tin of Sherry that actually contained Kendall Brown…

I’ve been keeping my snuff in their OWN mason jars for awhile now.
It came straight from a tin, and into the jar.
No cross contamination. [-X  It even smells strange in the tin.
And it’s not contamination.  I DISTINCTLY smell different scents.

It’s like the scents are really strong and I can’t smell the tobacco at all.  My fiance even said the same thing, and I was thinking it was just me originally…
JUST like morocco

Probably was cstokes.  He sneaks into people’s houses and steals Grand Cairo so that he can ensure his monopoly.  He replaces what he stole with whatever he has to offload.  Kind of like an insane tooth fairy.

Seriously, GC does have a strong floral element to it, mostly lavender.  Other than that guess, mislableing is not unheard of.

@transistor -  You might not be responsible for the cross contamination (if that is the case) There is no telling where that tin of Grand Cairo was before you purchased it. Could of happened way before it ever got to you, ya know?

I’m starting to think that Morocco has alot of the same scents in it and possibly my GC just has strong floral notes in it.  I’m just not used to THIS much…
I’ve had like 12 tins of GC and this is a first for me and the fact that my Fiance notices it makes it suspicious
oh well it’s still good- just not “everyday good” for me now
