I’ve only tried three Indian snuffs, Dholakia White, White Elephant, and Dholakia Black. All are supposedly plain but all have this sort of very slight “minty” smell in the background, almost like peppermint. Does anyone have any clue what this is? Do they put small amounts of mint in the snuffs? Are Whites and Blacks really plain or is there some scenting involved?
Not ever detected it, except in the ones that have some menthol or mnt deliberately. I’ve never had Elephant, but I understand its similar to Dholakia White. I’ve had the D. White and D. Black and detected no mint. I suppose they might absorb scent though especially if they had been stored too close to some menthol snuffs. :-S
@horus92…May 2nd thread you validated my comment about " spearmint or something " in the Dholakia Black … http://snuffhouse.org/discussion/comment/255353/#Comment\\_255353 I don’t detect that same aroma in the DW or WE as in the DB. The 6 photos lineup of aromas ( not being snuff specific ) are way to complex for me to start to even detect aromas ( except 6photo natural ) IMHO I cant bunch 6 photo together with the Dholokia product line like Fubar Wow Temptation or She ( or even the 41 photo WE ) Also IMHO or my personal feeling is the whole Dholokia product line in general is targeted towards global sales and I get a tough time wrapping the term " Indian " in regards to Dholakia.
also just cause you smell it doesn’t mean it’s there. The brain fills in gaps.
@AANYCARDS don’t confuse tradional Indian with Indian. :bz
Yeah I guess I’m just imagining it; it’s not from contamination, I hardly ever order mentholated/mint snuffs. Are whites and blacks scented at all?
I notice this essence you describe, in the Snafu Plain, menthol, but not? Yet I have not noticed this in any others that you speak of @horus92 I get a clean scent from Dh’s
