I was going to order one or both but I read that they were similar and also read that they were alot different. What are your opinions
Order both and post your reviews. You never can have too much snuff. Personally I like WoS Morlaix. I don’t enjoy grand mom scents. Everyone’s nose is different; these two are either a love or hate snuff. Depending on your preference. I am sure more discerning noses can distinguish a difference. Sorry I wasn’t any help. F&T are made by WoS but the WoS version is dryer and less perfumed.
I personally found the Bordeaux to be too heady and the Morlaix not so. Of course that’s subjective, but maybe the Bordeaux has something the Morlaix does not, perhaps musk, geranium or violet. My two cents.
Quite distinct from each other. Dr. J.R. Justice is a mixture of the two. Morlaix is probably the least perfumy of F&T’s florals. Tradtionally according to @PhilipS who used it years ago, it was essentially unflavored. However, I have a vintage tin which smells similar to the contemporary one. I also have a pound in bulk, which does seem less fragrant. Wilsons is hush-hush about what’s in it. Musk at least, I think. Bordeaux on the other hand is much more pungent: Violets, Geranium bourbon, Lemon May Blossom, Tonquin Essence, Musk all according to a published list here: http://www.sheffieldexchange.com/nasal.htm
Thanks guys looks like I’m going to order both and take it from there and since Dr j.r justice is a mix of the two it will be like ordering three f&t’s. @xander that’s a nice list on that website it gives you a good idea on what to expect and help zero in a nose as to what it is you are actually smelling.
Well they’re both awesome. Morlaix is definitily more relaxed of a scent. They’re both amazing and definte trys.
@distaind…I would be glad to send you a sample of both to do your own ‘taste test’
@stogie thank you but I just got done placing an order thru snuff store and placed both of those and a couple of their house blends in there so I am excited to try them out
Well, you won’t be disappointed.
I’ve tried both and I prefer the Bordeaux. Another one for you to try is F&T Morocco.

Morocco is indeed a belter of a snuff, spicey but more subdued than some of the other F&Ts. I find Bordeaux is usually a bit too winey for my tastes, though it’s nice now and then.
