what the hell

I paid just over 17.00 for thirty gram tube of railroad mills scotch. Thats almost double the price from last year. Whats the deal?

I just paid around the same price ( not including shipping ) for 100 grams of different varieties of snuffs. 17 for 30 g even a premium scotch is cig prices. Yuck

@markmcsnuffin‌ Where do you live?

I live just outside of Atlanta in the city of Canton Ga. Plenty of scotch brands to choose from out here. We have a lot of country and mountain folk in the area. i think they eat the stuff…

Wow seventeen dollars and it is not even aged yet, I bet. What a rip!

My in laws live in Woodstock which is outside Atlanta and last year my wife picked me up a can of Tuberose and it was 8 dollars which I think is quite expensive. I can’t believe that it costs even more now. I visit my parents, 30 miles south of me in Delaware, each weekend and I have a choice of about a dozen Scotches between a few stores and they average about 4-5 dollars a can. It is strange how prices vary from region to region.

Yikes. The 35.3 g ( or whatever 1.15 oz is ) around here for most on hand varieties is around $5, give or take . Heck, the monster tall cans of Bruton and Dental and Lorrillard are only $16.

@markmcsnuffin‌ Where did you buy it? I’m over in Acworth and get up to Canton once in a while… The tobacco mart on marietta hwy (old kmart shopping ctr next to williamson bros bbq) has a good variety of US snuffs 30gm tubes are like $4.79 and they have the larger ones for around $10. They had some rooster last time I was there about a month ago. Another tobacco mart in Cartersville has quite a few as well at similar pricing. Ingles grocery stores are said to stock a nice selection though I have not gone to one yet been meaning to check them out. Also found the Tinderbox in Alpharetta has silver dollar spearmint @4.75 / 5gm tin and I picked up a few but any more I would order directly from Toque for much better deal… The owner said he could order some of the other flavors but he said he does not sell that much because most people dont know about it…

I made a mistake. The snuff I purchased was the large size. The price for 4.65 oz (whatever that is in grams) has gone way up. I go to get my snuff at tobacco mart and Ingles. I picked up the railroad mills at Ingles this time around. I was thinking of going to the tinderbox in Alpharetta today actually, but if they only have sd spearmint i’ll pass. I’m still gonna call them to see if they picked up any toque USA flavors. Burley, have you found any imported snuff around here? I’d love to get some #22 or some toque flavors. I miss the good old days of driving out to tobacco supermarket in Atlanta and picking up all my favorites. Toque wasn’t around in those days. I’ve called several of the smoke shops (bong shops) around the area to inquire about snuff, but nobody ever answers their damn phone.

I am very saddened byt he lack of snuff in my area in general . i can get a good supply of the American Scotches - but not all - I am STILL looking for Dixie - but as to all the others, i.e. anything not a Scotch, it is online only. I cannot find silver dollar or Toque USA anywhere around here. I work near a nice pipe / cigar shop, and I used to frequent it, spending my money there to support local when it would have been cheaper to order from Iwan Ries in Chicago - and so I stopped in the other day to inquire about getting some snuff - and the guy was a rude jackass about it. Oh well …

@markmcsnuffin‌ I have not been able to find any imports except at the Tinderbox… He only had the SD spearmint… I asked if he could get others and he said he gets his orders through pkcigar (kretek intl) and to let him know and he could order other flavors… They should be able to get toque usa I would think… Not sure if the toque usa tins are 10gm vs 5 for the silver dollar… I’ve checked most of the head shops and they either dont know what snuff is or when you get there they try to sell you chew, so to avoid wasted trips make sure you ask for nasal snuff…

I don’t know where you bought it but I can get the big/small cans of american snuff all day in and around Woodstock Ga for alot cheaper. You just can’t find any imports which is the only thing I snuff…

Can any of you Georgia Boys find DIXIE Fruit Snuff down there? I have looked all over here in NC and cannot locate it. If you can get it, please PM me …

I think I’ve seen Dixie at Ingles. But unfortunately in about an hour, I’m heading to SC for 3 weeks. I’ll pick some Dixie up if I see it around.

Its 10 bucks for American snuff on Mrsnuff, which seems quite high.

In New Mexico I have to pay $11 for the pleasure of driving to the tobacco outlet for 30g of Garrett Scotch Snuff, so from where I’m sitting paying $10 for delivery to my doorstep seems like a pretty good deal.

Have you looked at the price of orange juice lately? Put in perspective, it’s still pretty reasonable.

At first i was in agreement with you . However I have seen both in a thread and received in a direct message from Mr Snuff that for some of these he has no real distributor - rather he has to go pick it up retail ( a 6 hr total drive ) - so I think the price is fairly accurate when you figure : retail +time + fuel = final resell. The fact he goes out and does this, which allowed me to add several that do not distribute to my area made me happy. The fact that when i mentioned another I could not find he offers to look, that makes me more than happy - that makes me feel like a valued customer. My only down view on Mr Snuff stuff is shipping - and have found that to make it worth it, the bigger the order the better , as it seems to aggregate down. My plan is simply not to place orders until I am ready to drop $100 - $200, and make the most bang for my buck.

If anyone knows of places to buy Snuff in the sunshine state please let me know. I have hopes for Winn-Dixie but have yet to check there. There isn’t an Ingles around me, but there are plenty in Asheville, NC. Publix is the only main grocery chain here. Thanks!

You can get silver dollar at a place called “up in smoke” in Orlando. I hope that helps you out.
